Red shirts are no longer dress code. Returning students may wear previously purchased red shirts for this school year, but not for the 2021-2022 year and beyond. We are continuing to partner with Land’s End uniforms for the school plaid pattern, Classic Navy Plaid. Girls in Pre-1st through 2nd grade will be wearing the Classic Navy Plaid jumper. Girls in 3rd through 5th grade will be wearing the Classic Navy Plaid skirt or skort. The Classic Navy Plaid is optional for 6th through 8th grade girls. All students in 6th – 8th Grade are required to wear the Brookfield School blazer on dress uniform days. You may order the plaid items and blazer online at www.landsend.com/school with the code 900061771. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday* Students are expected to wear a combination of the following: White or navy blue collared shirt, long or short sleeves Khaki or navy blue slacks, shorts, or skorts Grade-level appropriate plaid dress or skirt (uniform items are allowed every day of the week) Uniform Dress Wednesdays Boys: Pre-1st through 5th Grade: White collared shirt, navy blue slacks or shorts 6th through 8th Grade: Brookfield School Blazer, white collared shirt, khaki pants or shorts Girls: Pre-1st and 2nd grade: Classic Navy Plaid jumper and white collared shirt 3rd through 5th grade: Classic Navy Plaid skirt and white collared shirt 6th through 8th Grade: Brookfield School Blazer, white collared shirt, khaki pants, shorts, or skorts (Land’s End plaid skirt or skort optional) *Friday Spirit Wear Students may wear any Brookfield School Spirit shirt and uniform colored pants. There will be several opportunities to get Brookfield Spirit Wear throughout the year. Students without a spirit shirt should wear red, white, or navy collared shirts. General Dress Policy All bottoms are to be slack or khaki type material; denim, spandex, and sweat-pant fabrics are not allowed. Shoes are to be closed- toed and non-marking; high heels are not allowed. On non-dress uniform days, girls may also wear navy or khaki shifts or jumpers, but they must have a collared white, or navy shirt underneath. Girls can also wear collared shirtdresses in navy. Undershirts must be the same color as the collared shirt. Skirts/shorts must cover the lower torso with no skin showing between the top and bottom. Skirts/shorts must be at least mid-thigh in length. Please wear shorts under dresses and skirts so underclothes are not exposed during play times (bike-type shorts are allowed under dresses). Uniform plaid must be purchased at www.landsend.com/school with the code 900061771. General Appearance A student’s appearance reflects his/her values and can affect his/her behavior or the behavior of peers. If a student’s appearance is excessive, or draws attention in some way, then it is a distraction to the learning environment, and in conflict with the values of Brookfield School. Hair must be of natural color (black, brown, blonde, red). Hair must be combed and kept neatly out of the face. Excessive jewelry and accessories are not allowed; earrings must be post-style only. No makeup is permitted, except for lip gloss. Hats may not be worn inside any building on campus. All school uniform items must be in good condition and not in need of repair. .

    Uniform and sportswear from September 2020 Following feedback from students and parents, and to provide a contemporary new design, we have updated some elements of our uniform and sportswear. Changes to the school uniform are relatively minor and involve adjustments to the style of the kilt, jacket, jumper and Sixth Form suit to allow for better fit and design. There are more significant changes to sports kit allowing students to enjoy representing the school with these new styles. From June 2020, the only new items available to buy will be the uniform and sportswear outlined in this booklet. Students joining the school in September 2020 must only wear this new uniform and sportswear. Other students will be able to continue to wear existing uniform until September 2021. After September 2021 all students will be expected to have the updated uniform and sportswear. Buying uniform and sportswear From June 2020, all branded uniform and sportswear will only be available to buy from schoolblazer.com. The current prices are listed on its website. School Blazer will start selling Woldingham School uniform from 26 June 2020. The school uniform shop is now closed and no new uniform can be bought from the school. Secondhand uniform sales will continue from the autumn term 2020 onwards but will only sell current uniform and kit. We will not sell any secondhand uniform through the school that does not conform to the uniform and kit in this booklet. Some unbranded elements of our school uniform can be bought from School Blazer or other retailers. These are clearly marked in this booklet and in the uniform checklist attached.

    Student Dress Code 2019-2020 Student Dress Code for 2019-20 Grades Pre-K - 2 Daily dress code guidelines are encouraged for grades Pre-K - 2 but not required. However, representative and closing exercises dress is required as specified on the next page. Grades 3 - 12 The following dress code guidelines are designed to let parents and students know what dress is acceptable for all school-related events and activities. Carlisle students are expected to exhibit neatness in their appearance and use good taste in their choice of clothes at all times. Students are expected to adhere to the dress code from their arrival at school until the end of the academic day, unless otherwise instructed. Carlisle School teaches the students that different attire is appropriate for different occasions and events. We have endeavored to set standards that are age-appropriate. The dress code is a feature of school life most successfully fulfilled when parents, students, and the school work together. Representing the school is both an honor and a responsibility that we all should take seriously. At Bridgton Academy we recognize that personal representation can be refl ected in a student’s personal appearance, language, or behavior. The expectation for all students is that they abide by the rules set forth by the Academy and that they show respect for themselves and for others at all times. One way we accomplish this is through our faculty and student dress code. One of DECA’s primary goals is to develop its members’ social intelligence by administering helpful advice on how to dress properly in business situations. Delegates at every conference are always representing Michigan DECA, therefore it is necessary for delegates to be in appropriate attire at all times. It is important to remember that judges, sponsors, and vendors develop an impression of Michigan DECA based on its members’ appearance and conduct at these conferences. When Appearing Before Judges and During Sessions/Meetings Females: Business suit or blazer (optional Offi cial DECA Blazer), dress skirt or dress slacks, dress blouse and dress shoes. For a more polished, professional appearance, it is recommended that students wear appropriate hosiery/socks.
