A lot has changed since then — I shot a few more pilots and sizzle reels and decided I kind of hate TV. I went vegan, so no more mainstream baking shows for me. And, I gained a lot of confidence. But that was then, and this is now. If you have more general questions about Cupcake Wars! Wars, check out my Friday Five on the topic. Unlike judging cupcake shows, organizing is not my specialty. If you want to know how I ended up on the show, check out a previous post I did. There are a few videos from a few of the days I was in LA as well — you can click through to those from that other Cupcake Wars!. That post will also cover questions you might have about why I was dressed so funny and also, why I was so reserved when — as any of you know me in real life can attest to — I am generally Cupcake Wars! loose with the snarky remarks. The show was hosted by Justin Kredible. She told me a story about a break in she experienced — in Cupcake Wars! daylight — that gave me goose bumps. Justin said it in her intro — she put cupcakes on the map. And Cupcake Wars! of course there were a slew of rotating judges… but no one asked me about Cupcake Wars!. Despite seeing photos of me online, apparently in person my tattoos are a bit much for to handle. I look forward to those people getting Cupcake Wars! chance to judge a Food Network show and then storming off the Cupcake Wars!. Should be pretty funny. Remember that time I was Cupcake Wars! judge on a cupcake show? And remember at the end when I was one of the four people who chose the winner? Did you really pick Elfie based on her display? If you recall, Elfie also won the tasting round at the very beginning. In fact, after the show wrapped, Candace and Jane quizzed her about her cupcake recipe because it was amazing. He cupcakes tasted delicious and her display was a show-stopper. Of course not. But we had to pick a winner and Elfie edged it out with her combo of yumminess and glamour. Good question. I asked that too, but it was cut. Paula Garces actually offered to be Carmen next time. I would have loved to see that. That was so hard. The cake and the fried tortillas were perfect. The frosting, as Candace mentioned, was thick and too sweet. It sucks that it happened to such a sweet girl during the competition. Was it the worst cupcake I ate during Cupcake Wars! contest? No way. If I was the only judge that might have been it for Dave — as nice as he was. But I was one of four, and majority ruled. You should also know that we had like, three minutes to make decisions. The contestants were standing outside the test and Cupcake Wars! were waving their arms at us and telling us to hurry. Still, Cupcake Wars! Monica was leaving and told me she reads my blog I pretty Cupcake Wars! wanted to punch myself in the face. Oh, lots of stuff. The scenes were the judges walked around ala Carrie Vincent and asked all kinds of questions. The part where Dave got flustered and dropped his poster board on the ground. The part where I asked why she Cupcake Wars! white. That show looked low budget. Pilots are cheaper than real shows. Does that makes you feel better? Yeah… the show needs some tweaking. But they could throw curve balls like requiring that all the cakes are vegan — or introducing mystery ingredients ala Iron . Do I eat cupcakes with a fork at home? But we were tasting so many at a time, it was the only non-disgusting way to do it. My grandpa wanted to know what we did with all those cupcake s. We ate them. We obviously enjoy Cupcake Wars! cupcakes! I actually wore Cupcake Wars! dress on the plane and never intended to wear it on air. I might wear it until it disintegrates. I just got a giant neck tattoo — so good luck with that! How can I tell Food Network what I thought about the show? Good question! You can email them here! And I can see Cupcake Wars! knuckle tattoos! Some links in this post are affiliate links, Cupcake Wars! means if you click and make a purchase, I will earn a commission. Lemme know the Cupcake Wars! it shows up on Cupcake Wars! The irony of having a contestant that was heavily tattooed is also just… weird. I hope they have you Cupcake Wars! and allow you to Cupcake Wars! your freak flag fly! LOVED reading your re-cap of the show…you are sooo funny. I have to prob saying the word, I just have to be properly provoked. Ironic that they wanted me to be more edgy and you to look more conservative. I thought Cupcake Wars was fun! I am glad Elfie won. I hope they bring it back. Thanks for giving us a backstage look at how it went down. Awesome write up. I really felt bad for Dave. You rock! I saw you on the show and Cupcake Wars! interested enough to look up your blog. I really understood what you said previously about the tattoos being part of who you are and how rejecting it was being asked to cover them. Do we email them? Do you have some contact info? I think it would be good for FN to hear from us, in Cupcake Wars! constructive way. Cupcake Wars! it was awesome even if they did have you all covered up. I watched it with my mom! I hope they pick it up or something close to it. Thank you for sharing! Love your blog!!!! I got a one of your hoodies for Christmas from my boyfriend. Really wishing I got cable so I could watch the show. I eat cupcakes with a fork while driving Cupcake Wars! the freeway. Go figure. Julia is kinda on the right track. They have to sell the show to middle America. If they love it, it gets on the air. Thanks for all the sweet comments, everyone! Very cool show. Congrats on the big break. Unsure if that was because of the pilot. Like, they tried Cupcake Wars! fit too much into an hour timeslot. But my complaints are much less than my compliments. Thought the show is off to a great start! Enjoyed the show! Cupcake Wars videos - dailymotion

Cupcake Wars is fake?!?! Purported details come from this Reddit thread. The premise of the show is to surprise the bakers with a few, more often than not, odd ingredients and see what they're really made of. So an incredibly talented 'pop' singer won't get in because they were placed in a 'country' genre room. It's pretty odd. Apparently all he does is hit on the women and stare at their boobs. He stresses trying I find enough [sic] non pervy scenes to put together a whole episode. It was not Cupcake Wars! fun experience; three things that stand out:. Pretty much the entire process is fake. The producers faked scenarios so that there could be more drama and suspense in the episode. Even the portrayal of one "day" was actually spaced weeks apart, having my family members come dressed in the same outfit so that it seemed it was Cupcake Wars! in the same day. While there we learned that the "wedding" they were filming Cupcake Wars! Italy was completely fakedand they never actually got married. Kind of ruined the whole experience Cupcake Wars! me. Buddy is never there unless he's filming a commercial. In reality it's a ton of steps, and Cupcake Wars! of waitingto go through loads of intermediate judges who decide if you're either TV material, the insane or terrible people, or actually good enough to move on. Lighting takes forever. There are literally hours between takes. If there aren't then the lighting was setup beforehand. That means that the "stars" have to stand in a very specific location during those "impromptu" scenes. They aren't impromptu at all. Cupcake Wars! was one of those tub showers with the curtain. Well Cupcake Wars! curtain was a translucent white with a purple tinted light behind so that the silhouettes could be seen in the act. This was the worst example of a staged scene I have ever seen in a reality show. A lot of the minor plot is scripted and the house is not in a cul de sac like it appears in the intros. He didn't know shit about the Native Americans Cupcake Wars! that area and only lived around there for about 8 years. He just passed away but our family got a hoot out of seeing him bullshit through some t. It's actually pretty Cupcake Wars!, but considering it's PBS that shouldn't be surprising.
