The most prestigious polling association in the world, Gallup International Association (GIA), has addressed this huge challenge in order to publish this unique document on the status of global public opinion. Voice of the People, 2006 edition, expresses the concerns of the world’s population on globaliza- tion, the economy, poverty, democracy, religion, immigration, and health, as well as social and political issues. The book is based on a poll conducted — according to the high standards of GIA, which ensure the quality and strength of the data collected — in 68 countries. In each country, Gallup International Association managed every step of the process rigorously, while adapting the methodology to cultural differences and local realities — as illustrated in the amazing photos found in this edition. Of course this survey is primarily numbers, but it is also — above all — citi- zens expressing their lives through their joys, sorrows, and hopes. Introduction The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) annually reviews the operation and effectiveness of U.S. telecommunications trade agreements and the presence or absence of other mutually advantageous market opportunities, pursuant to Section 1377 of the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988.1 The list of trade agreements containing requirements relevant to telecommunications and technology includes the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 (GATT), the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Canada and Mexico, the Dominican Republic-Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) with Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, and bilateral free trade agreements (FTAs) with Australia, Bahrain, Chile, Colombia, Israel, Jordan, Korea, Morocco, Oman, Panama, Peru, and Singapore. The Section 1377 Review (Review) is based on public comments filed by interested parties and information developed from ongoing contact with stakeholders and foreign government representatives in various countries. This year USTR received five comments and one reply comment from the private sector, and one reply comment from a foreign government. Based on the use of potentials of human analogue thinking and cognitive effects as an indispensable component of the cognitive activity, the article considers atypically located in the frame structure and sugges- tively loaded rational and emotional motivators for learning a foreign language. The article focuses on sensory- somatic enhancers of the new information reception. It is shown that stimulation of the analogue language learning is mostly successfully carried out with suggestive or emotional motivation, as well as through visual, audio, kinesthetic channels alongside with the verbal one during games. It is proved that such games were used in the history of human ontogenesis. Game resources of virtual reality are considered as new stimulating sug- gestions, since a game is a way to detach from the profane in favor of the sacred information space.     Las autoridades distritales de la Guáyiga, hacen un llamado a los munícipes y a la población en general a mantenerse atentos a las informaciones emitidas por los organismos de socorro ante al anuncio del Centro Nacional de Huracanes de Estados Unidos, de que se aproxima una tormenta tropical al área del Caribe, ruta en la cual se encuentra la República Dominicana, por lo que esta dirección municipal, REUNION DE EMERGENCIA EN LA GUAYIGA ENTE EL PASO DE LA TORMENTA TROPICAL ELSA Ante los pronósticos de alerta meteorológica emitida por la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología y el COE sobre el paso del huracán tropical Elsa, la Comisión de Emergencia de la Guáyiga, sostuvo hoy una reunión de emergencia con miras a coordinar las acciones preventivas, identificación de áreas vulnerables, así como información a los residentes en dichas zonas sobre el peligro al que se exponen ante la llegada de este fenómeno natural. La comisión estuvo encabezada por la directora municipal Mirtha Elena Pérez La Popy, Eduardo Castellanos, encargado de la Estación 240 de la Defensa Civil local, el intendente de los Bomberos, Rafael Santana, Licenciado Catalino Familia Vocal, Ingeniera María Ventura, encargada de Medio Ambiente La Junta Municipal, Carina Valdez delegada en la Guáyiga de la Gobernación de la Provincia Santo Domingo, Venancio García, director de la Policía Municipal de la Guáyiga, José Antuna encargado de operaciones de la Defensa Civil de Pedro Brand la Guáyiga y la Cuaba. En el encuentro se coordinaron las labores de rescate a llevar a cabo ante la ocurrencia de eventualidades provocadas por el fenómeno natural.
