You will find NH Koningshof on your left. Coming from Maastricht/Venlo area take the A67/E34 towards Eindhoven and follow the direction Amsterdam/Tilburg A2/E25 take exit 32 (Veldhoven-Zuid) at the end of the exit follow the signs to Veldhoven, then continue straight ahead, following the signs for Koningshof for approximately 3 km. You will find NH Koningshof on your left. Coming from Antwerp/Turnhout area take the A67/E34 towards Eindhoven, take exit 32 (Eersel) and then continue in the direction of Steensel (3/4 roundabout) approximately 2,5 km after Steensel in the direction of Veldhoven, you will find NH Koningshof on your right. Alternative directions After exit 32 on the A2 continue on the A67 towards Belgium and take exit 32 on the A67 (exit Eersel). From there, please see 'coming from Antwerp/Turnhout'. In the event of traffic jams on the Eindhoven ring road, take exit 31 and A2 and then follow the signs to NH Koningshof. Parking NH Koningshof has its own private parking which is free of charge. .

Discussion note about the Chattian (Upper Oligocene) lithostratigraphic units Voort sand /Veldhoven clay /Someren sand. Michiel Dusar and Noël Vandenberghe Can we bring the Dutch, Belgian and German practice in line by using a common nomenclature ? The present discussion text with respect to the Chattian lithostratigraphic nomenclature is structured as follows: At first an overview of the present stratigraphic nomenclature practice in Belgium, The Netherlands and the German Lower Rhine area. Secondly a sedimentological model relating these units in the cross-border area of the three countries. Thirdly a tentative proposal to define the Chattian lithostratigraphic units occurring in Belgium. This discussion note is closed by the list of references and a set of relevant figures mostly taken from these references (indicated Fig.). I. Overview of the present stratigraphic nomenclature practice in Belgium, The Netherlands and the German Lower Rhine area. In Belgium (situation described is based on ncs website: http://natstratcommbelgium.drupalgardens.com) Upper Oligocene deposits described from Belgium (Fig.1) consist of fine-grained and clayey, dark green glauconitic sands, often rich in macrofossils. However, these only represent the lower part of the Upper Oligocene sequence just across the Belgian border. The deposits are well developed and stratigraphically more complete in the subsiding Roer Valley Graben northeast of the Campine basin. Similar but thinner and discontinuous deposits of the same age occur in the north of the Antwerp Campine. The westernmost outlier is north of the city of Antwerp where a pocket of Chattian sand has been observed and confirmed by micropaleontology (benthic foraminifera and dinoflagellate cysts) (Fig.2).

Inleiding Gemeenten worden geplaatst voor tal van ontwikkelingen waarop de gemeentelijke organisatie flexibel moet inspelen. We denken hierbij aan de terugtredende overheid, zelforganisatie door burgers, bedrijven en instellingen, verschuiving van de expertisemacht, innovatieve ontwikkelingen in de regio, zorg- en welzijnsvraagstukken, digitale dienstverlening, veranderende werkpatronen, plaats- en tijd onafhankelijk werken, de financiële positie van de gemeente, etc. Dit maakt het werkgebied van de gemeente mooi maar tegelijkertijd ook complex. Een veelheid van partijen en evenzovele samenwerkingen zijn betrokken bij het oplossen van maatschappelijke vraagstukken. Dit vraagt veel van de gemeente en onze medewerkers. Oude vormen vervagen en zekerheden verdwijnen. Hier komt een leven lang leren en ontwikkelen voor in de plaats. Fit zijn voor de arbeidsmarkt staat als doel in onze (concept) strategische personeelsplanning. Gemeente Veldhoven ziet regionale en intergemeentelijke samenwerking als een kans om vraagstukken waarbij gemeentelijke bemoeienis nodig is doelmatig en doeltreffend op te pakken. Voor elkaar, voor behoud van een gezonde, veilige en prettige samenleving en fijne woon- en werkomgeving. De gemeente Veldhoven levert een belangrijke bijdrage aan de samenleving en aan de omgeving, waarin wij Veldhovenaren wonen en leven. Vanuit de gemeenteraad worden hierin keuzes gemaakt, initiatieven genomen en gecontroleerd. Beweging is wat we willen bereiken net als verstandige keuzes voor de langere termijn en voor de Veldhovenaren van de toekomst. Er wordt niet zomaar gekozen, er wordt over nagedacht, met oog voor de toekomst en oog voor de kracht van de samenleving. Uitstekende voorzieningen voor sport en recreatie, een gezonde, veilige en schone leefomgeving en een betrouwbare en verstandige overheid daar gaan we voor. In dit verkiezingsprogramma geven wij weer, waar we voor staan en hoe we dit willen bereiken. We hebben hierbij getracht zo compleet mogelijk te zijn.
