GARY WOODLAND PGA TOUR

One of the game’s most exciting and explosive young players, Woodland regularly turns heads with his drives out of the tee box but there’s more to his game than extreme distance.

The 2007 Kansas graduate (sociology) turned in his best season as a pro in 2011 when he claimed fi ve top-fi ve fi nishes, won the Transitions Championship and teamed with to win the in China - both events he claims as his biggest thrill in golf. His biggest thrill off the course? Playing basketball against Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse as a freshman at Washburn, prior to transferring to KU to play golf. Woodland remains an avid supporter of the Jayhawks and attends many games.

The Topeka native concluded the 2012 regular season ranked 10th in the FedEx Cup point standings and played well enough in the FedEx Cup Playoff s to be one of only 30 golfers to qualify for the prestigious TOUR Championship. Woodland ended the 2011 season ranked 17th on the PGA Tour Money List after earning $3,448,591 during the year. Woodland carded a top-10 fi nish at the Frys.com Open to highlight a 2012 season that was bogged down by injuries, but he’s back and ready to challenge the best during the 2013 PGA season.

While at Kansas, Woodland competed in a total of 50 events and won the 2005 Cleveland State Invitational, 2006 Kansas Invitational, 2007 All-American Golf Classic and 2007 Louisiana Classics. Woodland qualifi ed for the NCAA Regional three times in his career, twice as a part of the team in 2004 and 2007 and once as an individual in 2006.
