Centennial celebration Dec. 7 Naval Air Station Key West will recognize its Centennial of Naval Aviation on Dec. 7 at Key West Art and Historical Society, 281 Front St. The free event, which starts at 5 p.m., features exhibits and displays with photos and memorabilia from the air station’s 100-year history. NAS was established on Dec. 7, 1917, at Trumbo Point as the U.S. prepared for World War I. The event is free and open to the public.
