Monday November 6th | 6:30pm | Metropolitan West SPACE on Ryder Farm creates an environment singular in its ability to invigorate artists and innovators and their work, and contributes to the sustainability and resourceful preservation of one of the oldest organic family farms on the East Coast. Founded in 2011, SPACE is a non-profit artist residency program located an hour north of New York City on the grounds of Ryder Farm, a 222-year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York.

In seven seasons, SPACE has become a premiere place for artists and activists to do their most important work. Since 2011, SPACE has hosted over 1000 residents, developed countless plays that have gone on to production in New York and across the country, held symposia on the intersection of creativity and activism, initiated and sustained a program that provides childcare for resident artists, integrated SPACE’s programming with the organic farm and nurtured 50 young professionals through our intern program. The evening will feature a bespoke cocktail hour, farm-to-table dinner, performances from seven seasons of SPACE-developed work, and an auction. Hosted by Emmy and Tony nominee Carrie Coon.

Carrie Coon is one of Hollywood’s most exciting emerging talents.This year, she received her first Emmy nomination for her work in FX’s , and made history by winning the first ever double TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Drama for Fargo and her work in the HBO series The Leftovers. Coon will return to the NY stage this fall in ’s Mary Jane at the New York Theatre Workshop. She recently wrapped production on Stephen Spielberg’s The Papers and on Steve McQueen’s heist thriller Widows. Coon’s breakout role was in the Oscar nominated film . On stage her credits include Magnolia at the Goodman Theater, Three Sisters, The March and Mary Page Marlowe at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Placebo at Playwrights Horizons, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? on Broadway, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Featured Actress.
