Specificity Rabbit anti Mouse DACT1 antibody recognizes mouse Dact1 (Dapper homolog 1), an intracellular protein and member of the dapper family, which acts as a positive regulator of the signalling pathways of Dishevelled 2 (DVL2), a cytoplasmic protein which plays a pivotal role in Wnt signalling during vertebrate development.

Dact1 is involved in enhancement of the transcriptional activation of target of the Wnt signalling pathway, through its intracellular co-localization with DVL2 and inhibition of the degradation of CTNNB1/beta-catenin. Mice homozygous for mutations in Dact1, display malformations involving the spine, genitourinary system and distal digestive tract, which was traced to disrupted germ-layer morphogenesis at the primitive streak (Suriben et al. 2009).

Western Blotting AHP1888 detects a band of approximately 110kDa in mouse uterine tissue

References 1. Suriben, R. et al. (2009) Posterior malformations in Dact1 mutant mice arise through misregulated Vangl2 at the primitive streak. Nat Genet. 41 (9): 977-85.
