Silver Eagle USA Discography by Mike Callahan, David Edwards & Patrice Eyries © 2018 by Mike Callahan Silver Eagle Discography Silver Eagle was a Canadian company headquartered near Toronto at 115 Apple Creek Blvd., Markham, Ontario, Canada. The label was a subsidiary of LaBuick & Associates Media, Inc., and label President was Ed LaBuick. The Media company specialized in TV marketing, and in addition to Silver Eagle also promoted Time-Life. In addition to LPs, Cassettes, and CDs, Silver Eagle also released videos. They established an office in the US at 4 Centre Drive, Orchard Park, NY (later, 777 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, CA), and often licensed product from the Special Products Divisions of the major record labels. They typically would pre-sell an album using 2-minute TV spots in stations across the country, then use that demand to place product in retail stores. They had their own manufacturing plant and distribution system, and according to LaBuick, sold many millions of albums. LaBuick later became head of the Music Division and Special Products Division of the major Quality Label in Canada. Note: All distributed by Silver Eagle unless noted otherwise. Chris Cunningham og ... Michel Gondry , snudde på det tradisjonelle hierarkiet mellom artist og musikkvideoregissør og satte regissøren som forfatter av musikkvideoteksten. I 2005 kom det fire regissører til i serien og bekreftet dette inntrykket ytterligere. Denne oppgaven skal analysere denne serien, representert ved to av utgivelsene, The Work of Director Michel Gondry og The Work of Director Chris Cunningham , ved å se på hvordan utgivelsene kan sies å ha skapt en musikkvideo-kanon gjennom å ha flyttet fokuset fra artist til regissør. Analysen har et teoretisk fundament i den franske auteur -doktrinen, en poststrukturalistisk nyansering av denne og i en historisk-formal forståelse av musikkvideoformen. Oppgaven legger Maria Demopoulos' formulering om at musikkvideofeltet representerer "the Wild West of filmmaking" til grunn for et postulat om at musikkvideoformen har eksistert i et kritisk vakuum uten plass til kvalitetsbedømmelse i en åpen offentlighet. Oppgaven vil utfra dette se om Gondry og Cunninghams DVD-utgivelser kan ha endret på denne situasjonen. 2 Takk! Malcolm, whose literary talents are unlikely to outshine his tour managing abilities, tells his life-story in a straight-forward, no- nonsense way, and gives glimpses into how the stars behave when they are not in front of the paying public. He also details the exploits of the unseen road crews and backstage bods without whom the stars would not shine – and it’s often hilarious. Malcolm started out road managing Eden Kane, the handsome sixties hit-maker who charted with Well, I Ask You among others.
