The reports were returned rd signed on Wednesday. There will be a HOMEROOM contest during the last two weeks of February with a weekly winner earning lunch from the OLIVE GARDEN. Stay tuned for additional details for our exciting events involving the entire school for the first week of March! Parents, we will be asking you to “Clean the CONSOLES” of your cars for any change in March during drop off or pickup. We’ll take your change to help beat cancer! We need the entire BDCHS community to reach our goal and contribute to the efforts of finding a cure for these illnesses. Math Tutoring Pilot Program New Math Tutoring Pilot Program: The math department has selected several students to participate in the ALEKS tutoring program. ALEKS is an internet based computer program that focuses on the little steps of mathematics that build together to make big ideas. If your student has been selected, please encourage regular, weekly attendance so that your student can see maximum success! Please contact Ms. Prewitt at [email protected] if you have any questions about the program. Also contact if you are interested in donating anything to help with the celebration lunches, snacks, or other incentives to increase participation! 2 02/22/2013 2012-2013 Yearbook The Paragon Staff is working hard to meet deadlines for the 2013 yearbook. Books are still on sale. Please visit ybpay.lifetouch.com and use ‘9248313’ to purchase a BDCHS yearbook. Garden Club The BDCHS Garden Club will be planting Spring flowers, fruits, and vegetables Saturday, February 23rd from 9am to 11 am. Parents and students are welcome to attend and earn community service hours. Contact Ms. Mead at [email protected] if you have questions. Are you beginning your spring cleaning early? STOP!!! Don’t throw it out… donate your items! PAC wants your items for our March 23rd Flea Market. Volunteer hours will be awarded for donations received. Spring Flea Market – Vendor booths available $25 PAC will be grilling Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and serving refreshing Cold Drinks. What a great Saturday lunch. We will have our own booth selling donated used items in good condition. Come and browse, there are many treasures to find. Donations may be dropped of on Wednesday and Thursday mornings before school beginning 02/20/13. A PAC member will be on campus to accept them (should you need to drop off at any other time arrangements can be made, please contact 813-971-5600 ext. 204). There will also be a PAC representative to accept donations on Saturday 23rd from 10 am – 1 pm. Please donate your shopping bags as well. They will be used at the flea market. Phoenix Fund Kickoff – Letters have been mailed to each BDCHS family and donation envelopes have been distributed to the students through their homeroom classes. We need your help in building our court.
