16 January 2003 – YTL Corporation Berhad Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Francis Yeoh Sock Ping was awarded “Master Entrepreneur of the Year 2002” and “Malaysian Entrepreneur of the Year 2002” at the inaugural Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards this year. Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, YB Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi presented the awards to the winners at the ceremony held in Putrajaya.

Three Tenors Perform in Bath. The Three Tenors, Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo performed at YTL’s spectacular Corporation Berhad YTL summer concert in Bath, where Wessex Water’s headquarters are located. The free concert was attended by 12,500 ticket winners and guests at the Royal Crescent and beamed live to an additional 20,000 at the adjoining Royal Victoria Park.
