ConstructingYourDeck Rememberthatnomatterwhatdesignyouchooseforanabovegroundpooldeck,the sameconstructionrulesapply.Thatmeansthatthedeckingissupportedbyjoists, whichareinturnsupportedbygirders,whichareinturnsupportedbypostsanchored intothegroundusingcementformsorfootings. Buildtheoutsideframingforeachtrapezoidjoistsectionfirst,andtheninsertthe centerpiecewithscrewsinthemiddle.Makesureto"square"theframebeforedriving screwsornailscompletelyin.Todothis,measurefromoppositecorners.
