Seaburn Dene Primary is a single form entry school, situated very near to a beautiful coastline and has views overlooking Cleadon hills. Our school has had significant renovations over the last few years making it a pleasant, innovative and safe environment which enhances our pupils’ learning. At Seaburn Dene Primary we believe that when we talk with children about how they can embrace a 'can do’ attitude or resilience in their learning, and why this is important, pupils develop more of a growth mind-set which leads to successful learning attitudes. Ofsted noted in the last inspection May 2018 You have created a culture of continuous improvement: you do all you can to support pupils to thrive. Pupils receive an education that equips them with the knowledge, skills and experiences to be well-rounded confident individuals. We are looking to appoint a Headteacher with experience, confidence and potential to carry on the good work of the retiring Headteacher and the vision and passion to take the school forward in their own way. It is impossible to properly articulate in these pages the gratitude to all past and present employees, partners, sponsors, funders, and volunteers who have made this possible. 2018/19 has seen us continue the fine work across the community and in schools, and the most exciting development of all has been the capacity we have as an organization to now host all of our holiday camps, tournaments, leagues and events at our own facility. All of our users have benefited from the outstanding facilities, and we are continually building bridges across the entire North East community to grow our provision, delivery and the opportunities for all interested in sport.

As outlined in my initial letter, as well as looking at key areas of the subject, the visit had a particular focus on provision for teaching and learning about Britain’s diversity. The visit provided valuable information which will contribute to our national evaluation and reporting. Published reports are likely to list the names of the contributing institutions but individual institutions will not be identified in the main text. All feedback letters will be published on the Ofsted website at the end of each half-term. The evidence used to inform the judgements made included interviews with staff and learners, scrutiny of relevant documentation, analysis of students’ work, meeting with the school council and peer mentors and observation of 11 lessons The overall effectiveness of citizenship was judged to be satisfactory with some good features. Achievement and standards Achievement and standards are satisfactory. Students gain knowledge and understanding about how government and Parliament function, social justice, environmental issues and aspects of Britain’s diversity. However there are gaps in some key aspects of the citizenship curriculum. The development of skills of enquiry and communication is satisfactory and improving.

We are extremely proud of the step that we have made for basketball and will continue to push the sport forward. This report will give an insight into the depth of interventions we deliver daily, amounting to over 200 sessions per week, almost all year round. The report is dedicated to everyone who works as a part of the Eagles team to provide a foundation for young people and adults to participate in sport and build a healthy, active lifestyle as well as provide countless volunteering opportunities for the community.

    Save Seaburn Recreation Fields Join Malcolm Bond's campaign to classify Seaburn Recreation Field as Greenspace and protect it from developers by signing his open letter to Sunderland City Council. Local campaigner Malcolm Bond is writing an open letter to Sunderland Council demanding that Seaburn Recreation Field is officially listed as 'Greenspace' in the Council's proposed 'Allocations and Designations Plan'. Malcolm said: "In 2018 Sunderland council shockingly listed Seaburn Recreation Fields (behind Morrisons and Seaburn Camp) as a 'Developable Site' paving the way for housing developers to bulldoze the fields and build hundreds of new executive style homes."
