    1 JULIAN ALPS TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK www.slovenia.info 2The Julian Alps The Julian Alps are the southeast- ernmost part of the Alpine arc and at the same time the mountain range that marks the border between Slo- venia and Italy. They are usually divided into the East- ern and Western Julian Alps. The East- ern Julian Alps, which make up approx- imately three-quarters of the range and cover an area of 1,542 km2, lie entirely on the Slovenian side of the border and are the largest and highest Alpine range in Slovenia. The highest peak is Triglav (2,864 metres), but there are more than 150 other peaks over 2,000 metres high. The emerald river Soča rises on one side of the Julian Alps, in the Primorska re- gion; the two headwaters of the river Sava – the Sava Dolinka and the Sava Bohinjka – rise on the other side, in the Gorenjska region. Rozpatrujemy przede wszystkim te nazwy, które dotychczas nie były objaśniane albo zostały objaśnione nieprzekonująco2. Formą wyjściową w hasłach jest nazwa współczesna, zawarta w opracowa- niach materiałowo-normatywnych Słoweńskie nazwy miejscowe (SKI 1985) oraz Słoweńskie nazwy miejscowe w Karyntii austriackiej (Zdovc 1993). Zawierają one także nazwy mieszkańców i przymiotniki derywowane od nazw miejscowych, w tym formy dialektalne. Zapisy historyczne zostały zaczerpnięte ze źródeł i opra- cowań wydanych przez historyków (Kos 1975; Blaznik 1986–89; Jožefinski ze- mljevidi 1995–2001). Dokładna obserwacja rozwoju nazw miejscowych nasuwa niekiedy nowe rozwiązania etymologiczne. I. ZMIANY MORFEMICZNE 1. Wymiana sufiksów ekwiwalentnych3 -(ov)ica → -(ov)ik → -(ov)ka: Gábrovka: *Gabrovik (1279 Gabrovik, 1843 Gabrovk) → Gabrovka (1894 Gabrovka) (< psł. *grabrъ ‛grab’); 1 Inspiracją do podjęcia niniejszego tematu była książka polskiego językoznawcy A. SPLOŠNE DOLOČBE 1. člen (1) S tem odlokom se določa izvajanje pogrebne in pokopališke dejavnosti na območju občine Tolmin (v nadaljnjem besedilu: občina). GEOGRAFIJA ŠENTVIŠKE PLANOTE IN NJEN OBRAMBNO-STRATEŠKI POMEN Diplomsko delo prikazuje celostni fizičnogeografski in družbenogeografski opis Šentviške planote kot dela ozemlja med Idrijco in Bačo. Poseben poudarek pa je še na obrambno-strateškem pomenu Šentviške planote, ki ima posebno vlogo zaradi specifičnih geografskih faktorjev. Namen dela je celovito predstaviti geografsko »odmaknjeno« (predvsem v smislu prometne odmaknjenosti) Šentviško planoto, poudariti nekatere njene posebnosti ter opisati njeno obrambno-strateške značilnosti.
