[TITLE SLIDE / SLIDE 1] One of the great benefits of being a libraries postdoc was eavesdropping. As a postdoctoral fellow in data curation for medieval studies, I got to hear how librarians, archivists, and other library-employed professionals talked when faculty were not present. Getting to keep my mouth shut and my ears open for two years fundamentally transformed how I think about libraries and archives.
