They are meant to be taken as a whole, as a set of commonly-understood values. RADICAL INCLUSION Anyone may be a part of Blazing Swan. We welcome and respect the stranger. No pre-requisites exist for participation in our community. Every person in our community is a valued member. GIFTING Blazing Swan is devoted to acts of gifting: giving freely, without expectations of return or exchange. The value of a gift is unconditional. A gift is anything given in this spirit, whether it is a physical item, a service or performance, or something less tangible, such as friendship or companionship. Everyone has gifts to give. DECOMMODIFICATION In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption for participatory experience. RADICAL SELFRELIANCE Blazing Swan encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on his or her inner resources. RADICAL SELFEXPRESSION Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is oered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient. 05 COMMUNAL EFFORT Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. Volunteers are the life force of our community. We strive to produce, promote, and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art, and methods of communication that support such interaction. CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY We value civil society. Community members who organise events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavour to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. LEAVE NO TRACE Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them. PATICIPATION Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them. IMMEDIACY Be Here Now. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner-selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world. Be aware of yourself, of others, of your surroundings and your place in our community and the world. No idea can substitute for this experience. 06 CONSENT THE ELEVENTH PRINCIPLE OF BLAZING SWAN Respect the autonomy of the individual. Do not ever assume that you have Every person has the right to make consent based upon what a person is decisions about their own body, property, wearing or how they are acting. 81 Drinking Games – FREE E-Book We thank you for your purchase of our Beer Bong. As a token of our appreciation, we would like to provide you this free E-Book loaded with 81 drinking game ideas. This E-Book was created by some of our best researchers who traveled the web from east to west and from north to south to find and compile some of the best drinking games that will keep your party alive and going. Enjoy!! Party Like Sophia 1 of 75 Game #1: Beer Pong What you need: Ping pong table Pack of ping-pong balls Pack of 16oz plastic cups How to play: You can play beer pong in teams of one or two players. You will need to set up two formations of 10 cups on either end of the ping-pong table. The cups should form a triangle, similar to how balls are racked at the beginning of a game of pool. Fill each cup with roughly three to four ounces of beer. Each team stands on either side of the table. The goal is to toss a ping- pong ball into one of the cups on the opposing team’s side. You can toss the ball directly into a cup, and the opposing team is not permitted to try to swat the ball away. Or, for an easier shot, you can bounce the ball when you toss it, but in this scenario, the opposing team is permitted to try to swat the ball away. When a ball lands in a cup, a member of the opposing team has to drink it.

V WYNDHAM CITY LIBRARIES presents the short-listed entries from the inaugural Words of Wyndham writing Competition Included are the top shortlisted entries from each of the four categories: SHORT STORY LIBRARIES WYNDHAM CITY Words of Wyndham Anthology POETRY | Short Story FLASH FICTION 2017 Poetry GRAPHIC SHORT STORY Flash Fiction Graphic short story The works included in this anthology cover themes ranging from suicide, family violence and mourning, to online dating, easter eggs and birds. “The graphic stories submitted for the ‘Words of Wyndham’ competition are all of them fine examples of the visual storyteller’s art. The voice and sensibility in each piece rings out clear and true, and each one leaves me wanting more, like all good comics should.” – BERNARD CALEO, comic artist and judge of the Words of Wyndham graphic short story category. “The authors of these stories and poems have called upon their skills at observation and depiction to share with us a series of dark, sometimes comic, certainly unsettling, scenarios. As dark as they are, though, the compassion these writers demonstrate, and the universality of the situations they confront, gives the reader hope that, however hard things may become, we are not alone in facing what we must face.” 2017 Anthology Wyndham of Words – ADAM FORD, poetry, short and flash story judge. OM MUST HEAR Time Warner To Acquire EMI 1wo weeks alter it was announced that Time Warner would be acquired by America Online, Time Warner and the U.K.-based EMI Music have announced that they will merge. Combined, Warner Music Group and EMI Music could form the world's largest record company, with an esti- mated worth of $20 billion. EMI is currently the last of five major labels to exist independently of a media conglomerate. The merged company, to be called Warner EMI Music, will be ajoint venture. Time Warner, however, will have six board members to EMI's five. Time Warner plans to pay EMI shareholders a total of $1.3 billion in order to gain [control of the board]. Company executives estimate that 3,000 employees will be laid off. Company officials do not think that the merger will result in the sizable jettison of artists like that which took place when Universal acquired PolyGram in late 1998. Warner is currently ranked fourth in U.S. market share. EMI is in last place at fifth, but the com- pany is ranked third worldwide, due to strong sales in Europe and elsewhere.
