CELEBRATING THE DIAMOND JUBILEE

Debach children with their mugs and stamps. Debach Jubilee street party t was lovely to have such a great turnout from the Ivillage to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Even the sun came out. We held a 1950s theme party on the green. Everyone contributed food with the highlights being delicious cakes and puddings in the design of the Union flag. The children buried a time capsule the village had put together. The capsule included photos of each villager outside their house along with a brief article about each family. I wonder how many of the children will be around to dig it up in 60 years time? The village would like to say a big thank you to local businesses - Gressingham Foods for donating jubilee stamps for every child in the village and Debach Enterprises for the kind donation of souvenir mugs. Later in the evening the village turned out in force again for the lighting of the jubilee beacon and fireworks. Emma Grimwood

Tuddenham’s red, white & blue picnic uddenham celebrated with a Red, TWhite & Blue themed Bring & Share picnic at the Village Hall. Over 100 villagers attended and joined in an afternoon of games and quizzes finishing with “60s decade” sing-along led by our musical vicars Reverends Catherine and Alan Forsdike. Everyone had a great time!
