Dr. Howe, currently a Biological Scientist with USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), is working with the Patuxent Refuge Lichen Team under leader Helga Matausch to survey and cata- log the Refuge’s lichen species as part of our ever-growing Herbarium*, a work-in-progress resource being catalogued online for researchers around the globe.
