To register, visit wolfgourmet.com/registration. 3 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, including the following: • Read all instructions. • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven gloves. • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse lead, plug or base in water or other liquid. • Unplug from socket when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before fitting or removing parts. To unplug, grasp the plug and remove from the socket. Never pull from the power lead. • Vessel, lid and base may remain hot after unit is turned off. Allow to cool before handling. • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power lead or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Power lead replacement and repairs must be conducted by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid creating a hazard. WARNING Electric Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with an earthed (3-prong) plug to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug only fits in one way into an earthed socket. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying it in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit into the socket, a qualified electrician should replace the socket. A short power lead is provided to reduce the risk of it being grabbed by children, becoming entangled or being tripped over. Recycling the Product at the End of Its Service Life The wheelie bin symbol marked on this appliance signifies that this equipment should be taken over by a selective collection system conforming to the WEEE Directive so that it can be either recycled or dismantled in order to reduce any impact to the environment. The user is responsible for returning the product to the appropriate collection facility, as specified by your local regulations. For additional information regarding applicable local laws, please contact the council facility and/or local distributor. Your plug may be provided with a 13-amp fuse approved by ASTA to BS 1362. If you need a replacement fuse carrier, it must be replaced with the same colour-coded carrier with the same markings. Lid: The lid must be used in MANUAL ( ), MEAL TIMER ( ), PROGRAMME ( ), RICE ( ), STEAM ( ) and SOUS VIDE modes ( ). The lid must be used in STEAM mode during preheat, and while steaming. The lid is dishwasher- and oven- safe for temperatures of up to 230°C. a. Probe Opening: The probe opening is where the probe should be positioned when using the probe in Sous Vide mode and for some slow-cooker applications. 2. Sous Vide Rack: The removable Sous Vide rack is used in SOUS VIDE mode, if desired, to separate individual bags of sealed food and ensure proper water heating. 3. Stainless Steel Vessel: The stainless steel vessel must be in place for the appliance to function. The vessel may also be used in an oven or on a gas, electric or induction hob. It is oven-safe for temperatures of up to 230°C and is dishwasher-safe. 4. Control Panel Display: The display will show temperature and time settings, probe temperature settings, error messages, icons for probe and the Wolf Gourmet logo when in sleep mode. 5. (Back) Button: Press the BACK button to go back one step and undo the last setting entered. 6. (Start/Stop) Button: Press the START/STOP button to start and to turn OFF the selected mode. The light will be illuminated in red and a chime will sound when the cycle starts. START/STOP is also used to engage or turn off the timer. 7. Mode Selector: Rotate selector to desired cooking mode: (Manual), (Meal Timer), (Programme), (Rice), (Steam) or (Sous Vide). 8. Rating Plate: Model number and rating information can be found on the bottom of the base of the appliance. 9. Time/Temperature Knob: Use this knob to set the time and temperature in different cooking modes. 10. (Timer) Button: The TIMER button may be used in PROGRAMME or SOUS VIDE mode. 11. Base: Stainless steel vessel must be placed in base for appliance to function. 12. Probe: a. Temperature Probe – The long, thin pointed end of the probe is the temperature probe which is inserted into the water in SOUS VIDE mode, or to measure internal temperature and ensure perfectly cooked food in PROGRAMME mode. b. Plug End – The plug end of the probe should be inserted into the probe jack on the right-hand side of the appliance. 13. Probe Jack: The probe jack is on the bottom right-hand side of the appliance and is where the plug end of the probe should be inserted. 14. Steam Basket with Handles: The removable steam basket is used in STEAM mode over a liquid in the stainless steel vessel. (MANUAL) mode functions like a standard, non-programmable slow cooker with four heat settings: (Warm), (Low), (Medium) or (High). The timer counts up and the appliance will stay on until the START/STOP button is pressed, or will automatically turn off after 24 hours. NOTE: WARM should not be used for cooking. It can be used once cooking is complete to keep foods warm. 2. (MEAL TIMER) mode allows you to set the number of hours to cook based on when you want to serve the meal, regardless of recipe instructions. No heat level is selected. MEAL TIMER adjusts the temperature based on the serving time.
