Stradivarius was one of the leading lights of the turf throughout the season, and he was awarded on Tuesday with the Cartier Stayer Award. Roaring Lion, who also won the Cartier 3-Year-Old Colt award, retires to Tweenhills Stud for 2019. It will continue to stand Hellvelyn (GB), Coach House (GB) and Pearl Secret (GB). Roisin Close, owner of the stud, said, "We look forward to welcoming breeders to our new state-of-the-art stud and accessible location, where we will continue to offer a professional, affordable and personal service that we have become known for when based at Bucklands Farm.” Chapel Stud’s three stallions will all remain at their 2018 fees for next year: Hellvelyn and Coach House at £3,000 and Pearl Secret at £4,000. CABLE BAY TO STAND FOR £6,500 Cable Bay (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}), who first yearlings realized up to £150,000 this year, will once again stand for £6,500 at Highclere Stud in 2019.
