First out on to the dirt was the Gordon Elliott-trained Beckford (Juvenile Turf), who was quickly followed by Juliet Capulet (Juvenile Fillies Turf), Decorated Knight (Turf). All had a gentle stretch of their legs and did nothing more than canter. Rajasinghe and Sands of Mali (Juvenile Turf) with Suedois (Mile) were next out on the main track. Suedois, winner of the Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland appeared to be suffering no ill effects from his flight and looked in great spirits in the hands of regular rider Fergal Davis.
