    THE STORY OF AI Professor Hobby (William Hurt), addressing a group of scientists, speaks in the beginning of the film of the mechas’ perception of life, their emotions, and their capabilities. Demonstrating his cyborg creation’s response to physical stimuli, he pricks the hand of a mecha named Shelia. Although Shelia reacts to the pain, it doesn’t seem to bother her emotionally. When Hobby asks her to disrobe, Shelia does so with no hesitation; the professor stops her at her blouse and touches her in a way that reveals the robotics inside her humanlike skin. Hobby declares that for his next challenge, he will attempt to create a mecha that can love. One of his colleagues, however, asks the important questions: would this child be able to truly love or would it just be a simulation, and even if the mecha could love, would its owners love it back? With the entrance of David (Haley Joel Osment), the mecha built to love, Spielberg, while telling the story of how the mecha’s guardians relate to him, also challenges the audience in their reactions to David. At first, David is a pleasant enough mecha; while not causing any major problems, his robotic yet kid-like demeanor is a tad creepy. To illustrate, David constantly follows his “mother” around the house, stands perfectly still, and stares at her in wonder, as if he is waiting for her to something special. Eventually, Monica grows tired of David following her around, so she shoves him in the linen closet and locks him in there.

I don't think I've ever been more excited for a film than I was for this one. Like a lot of people, I've been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it's humble beginnings with the first "Iron Man". I can't really put it into words what it's been like to watch these films over the last decade. If I had to find a word I'd say profound. Never in film history has a super hero franchise of this magnitude been brought to the silver screen. It's unique and now it's this massive global franchise. It sounds crazy just thinking about it, but its true.

Revenue is also the most important and intuitionistic feedback to producers, directors and actors. Therefore it is worth for us to put effort on analyzing what factors correlate to revenue, so that producers, directors and actors know how to get higher revenue on next movie by focusing on most correlated factors. Our project focuses on anaylzing all kinds of factors that correlated to revenue, for example, genres, elements in the movie, popularity, release month, runtime, vote average, vote count on website and cast etc. After analysis, we can clearly know what are the crucial factors to a movie's revenue and our analysis can be used as a guide for people shooting movies who want to earn higher renveue for their next movie. They can focus on those most correlated factors, for example, shooting specific genre and hire some actors who have higher average revenue. By Andrea Pietrini Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2 Study session "Building communication for hard of hearing young people: breaking barriers and stereotypes" Strasbourg 2003 By Karina Chupina, IFHOHYP IFHOHYP is the only international non-governmental federation for national and regional youth organizations that are dedicated to hard of hearing young people throughout the world and is independent of sex, race, religion, nationality and politics. Today IFHOHYP is comprised of mostly European countries. Our greatest priority is improving the quality of life of hearing im- paired youth and promoting equal rights for hard of hearing young people at all levels of society. We raise disability awareness on national and interna- tional level through activities run by and for hard of hearing young people aged from 18 to 35. In IFHOHYP, there are young people with hearing loss who mainly rely on hearing aids and lip-reading to manage their communi- cation - preference is given to oral speech rather than sign language which is used quite seldom. Many hard of hearing people in IFHOHYP can be consi- dered physically as profoundly deaf, but they learnt to speak and recognize speech through their long-life training. Study session "Building communica- tion for hard of hearing young people: breaking barriers and stereotypes" was the 5th study session of IFHOHYP in European Youth Centre Strasbourg since 1994, and perhaps one of the best IFHOHYP study sessions ever.
