BYU Going to WCC in 2011 This is BYU’s final year in the MWC since it will join the West Coast Conference next sea- son. Here are a couple of interesting baseball facts on the WCC (BYU has a 44-52-1 record against that league). Pepperdine won the College World Series in 1992. Of the eight current WCC teams, only St. Mary’s has not participated in the NCAA post-season tourna- ment. BYU’s 1-1 tie against Pepperdine came in the second game of a doubleheader in 1963. Son Andrew Law played with BYU baseball in 2005 prior to a Church mission and played the past three seasons on the team.
