In einem knallharten Geschäft wie der NFL spielen frühere Leistungen keine Rolle, so dass zahlreiche bewährte Spieler Gefahr laufen, entlassen zu werden. 7 Spieler, die entlassen werden könnten: Devonta Freeman, RB, Saints Freeman hat seine besten Jahre offensichtlich schon lange hinter sich, aber die Saints haben sich in dieser Saison für ihn entschieden, obwohl sie bereits Alvin Kamara und Latavius Murray in ihren Reihen haben. Bridgewater, der auch schon für die Minnesota Vikings und die New Orleans Saints gespielt hat, erreichte bei den Panthers im vergangenen Jahr eine Bilanz von 4-11 und warf Pässe für 3.733 Yards und 15 Touchdowns bei 11 Interceptions. Der ehemalige Pro Bowler hat in seiner Karriere bisher 26 Spiele gewonnen und 23 Spiele verloren. Denver hat die Playoffs seit der Saison 2015 nicht mehr erreicht. Broncos sichern sich Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater Die Carolina Panthers haben Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater zu den Denver Broncos geschickt und erhalten im Austausch für ihn einen 6th Round Pick im heute Nacht startenden NFLDraft 2021. Das gaben die Panthers am Mittwoch bekannt. Carolina wird 7 Millionen Dollar von Bridgewaters Gehalt zahlen, während die Broncos nur noch 3 Millionen Dollar bezahlen müssen. Dieser Transfer schließt die Möglichkeit nicht aus, dass Denver in der ersten Runde des Drafts versuchen wird, einen Quarterback zu draften. Das AFC West Team besitzt den Pick Nr. 9. “Der Erwerb von Teddy Bridgewater fügt unseren Quarterbacks Competition, Erfahrung […] hinzu”, sagte der neue Broncos Generalmanager George Paton.
