במדבר ל״ב:א׳-ד׳ Numbers 32:1-4 (1) The Reubenites and the Gadites )א( וּ ִמ ְק ֶ֣נה ׀ ַר֗ב ָהיָ֞ה ִל ְב ֵ֧ני ְראוּ ֵ֛בן .owned cattle in very great numbers ְו ִל ְב ֵני־ ָ֖גד ָע ֣צוּם ְמאֹ֑ד ַו ִּי ְר ֞אוּ ֶאת־ ֶא֤ ֶרץ Noting that the lands of Jazer and ַי ְע ֵז ֙ר ְו ֶאת־ ֶא֣ ֶרץ ִּג ְל ָע֔ד ְו ִה ֵּ֥נה ַה ָּמ ֖ק ֹום Gilead were a region suitable for ְמ ֥ק ֹום ִמ ְק ֶנֽה׃ )ב( ַו ּיָבֹ֥אוּ ְב ֵנֽי־ ָ֖גד וּ ְב ֵ֣ני cattle, (2) the Gadites and the Reubenites came to , Eleazar ְראוּ ֵ֑בן ַו ּיֹא ְמ ֤רוּ ֶאל־מֹׁ ֶש ֙ה ְו ֶאל־ ֶא ְל ָע ָז֣ר the priest, and the chieftains of the ַה ּכֹ ֵה֔ן ְו ֶאל־ ְנ ִ ׂשי ֵא֥י ָה ֵע ָ ֖דה ֵלאמֹֽר׃ )ג( ,community, and said, (3) “Ataroth ֲע ָט ֤ר ֹות ְו ִדיבֹ ֙ן ְו ַי ְע ֵ֣זר ְו ִנ ְמ ָר֔ה ְו ֶח ׁ ְש ּ֖ב ֹון ,Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon ְו ֶא ְל ָע ֵל֑ה וּ ְ ׂש ָ֥בם וּ ְנ ֖ב ֹו וּ ְבעֹֽן׃ )ד( ָה ָא֗ ֶרץ —Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon (4) the land that the LORD has ֲא ׁ ֶש֨ר ִה ָּ֤כה ְיהֹ ָו ֙ה ִל ְפ ֵנ ֙י ֲע ַד֣ת ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֔אל ָ conquered for the community of ֶא֥ ֶרץ ִמ ְק ֶ֖נה ִ ֑הוא ְו ַלֽ ֲע ָב ֶד֖יך Israel is cattle country, and your ִמ ְק ֶנֽה׃ }ס{ .servants have cattle

במדבר ל״ב:ה׳-י״ט Numbers 32:5-19 )ה( ַו ּיֹא ְמ ֗רוּ ִאם־ ָמ ָצ֤אנוּ ֵח ֙ן ְּב ֵעי ֶנ֔י ָך It would be a favor to us,” they (5) ֞ ֧ ֛ ֖ ָ continued, “if this land were given to יֻ ַּתן ֶאת־ ָה ָא ֶרץ ַהזֹּאת ַל ֲע ָב ֶדיך your servants as a holding; do not ַל ֲא ֻח ָ֑זּה ַאל־ ַּת ֲע ִב ֵ ֖רנוּ ֶאת־ ַה ַּי ְר ֵּדֽן׃ )ו( (move us across the Jordan.” (6 ַו ּ֣יֹא ֶמר מֹׁ ֶש֔ה ִל ְב ֵני־ ָ֖גד ְו ִל ְב ֵ֣ני ְראוּ ֵ֑בן Moses replied to the Gadites and the ַה ַאֽ ֵחי ֶכ֗ם יָ ֙בֹאוּ֙ ַל ִּמ ְל ָח ָמ֔ה ְו ַא ֶּ ֖תם Reubenites, “Are your brothers to go ֵּת֥ ׁ ְשבוּ פֹֽה׃ )ז( ְו ָל֣ ָּמה )תנואון( to war while you stay here? (7) Why will you turn the minds of the ] ְת ִני ֔אוּן[ ֶאת־ ֵל֖ב ְּב ֵ֣ני ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא֑ל ֵמֽ ֲעבֹ ֙ר from crossing into the land ֶאל־ ָה ָא֔ ֶרץ ֲא ׁ ֶשר־ ָנ ַת֥ן ָל ֶה֖ם ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )ח( (that the LORD has given them? (8 ּכֹ֥ה ָע ׂ֖שוּ ֲאבֹ ֵתי ֶכ֑ם ְּב ׁ ׇש ְל ִח֥י אֹ ָת֛ם That is what your fathers did when I ִמ ָּק ֵד֥ ׁש ַּב ְר ֵ֖נ ַע ִל ְר ֥א ֹות ֶאת־ ָה ָאֽ ֶרץ׃ )ט( sent them from Kadesh-barnea to ַוֽ ַּי ֲע ֞לוּ ַעד־ ַנ֣ ַחל ֶא ׁ ְש ּכ֗ ֹול ַו ִּי ְרא ֙וּ survey the land. (9) After going up to ֶאת־ ָה ָ ֔א ֶרץ ַו ּיָ ִ֕ניאוּ ֶאת־ ֵ֖לב ְּב ֵ֣ני ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֑אל the wadi Eshcol and surveying the ֙ ֔ ֥ land, they turned the minds of the ְל ִב ְל ִּתי־בֹא ֶאל־ ָה ָא ֶרץ ֲא ׁ ֶשר־ ָנ ַתן Israelites from invading the land that ָל ֶה֖ם ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )י( ַו ִּיֽ ַחר־ ַ ֥אף ְיהֹ ָו֖ה ַּב ּ֣י ֹום (the LORD had given them. (10 ַה ֑הוּא ַו ִּי ׁ ּ ָש ַב֖ע ֵלאמֹֽר׃ )יא( ִאם־ ִי ְר ֨אוּ Thereupon the LORD was incensed ָה ֲא ָנ ׁ ִ ֜שים ָהעֹ ִ ֣לים ִמ ִּמ ְצ ַ ֗ר ִים ִמ ֶּ֨בן and He swore, (11) ‘None of the men ֶע ְ ׂש ִ ֤רים ׁ ָש ָנ ֙ה ָו ַ ֔מ ְע ָלה ֵ ֚את ָה ֲא ָד ָמ֔ה from twenty years up who came out of shall see the land that I ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר ִנ ׁ ְש ַּ֛ב ְע ִּתי ְל ַא ְב ָר ָה֥ם ְל ִי ְצ ָ ֖חק ,promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac וּֽ ְל ַי ֲע ֑קֹב ִּ֥כי לֹא־ ִמ ְל ֖אוּ ַא ֲח ָרֽי׃ )יב( and Jacob, for they did not remain ִּב ְל ִּ ֞תי ָּכ ֵ֤לב ֶּבן־ ְי ֻפ ֶּנ ֙ה ַה ְּק ִנ ִזּ֔י ִויה ֹו ׁ ֻ֖ש ַע loyal to Me— (12) none except Caleb ִּבן־ ֑נוּן ִּ֥כי ִמ ְל ֖אוּ ַא ֲח ֵר֥י ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )יג( son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and ַו ִּיֽ ַחר־ ַ ֤אף ְיהֹ ָו ֙ה ְּב ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֔אל ַו ְי ִנ ֵע ֙ם Joshua son of Nun, for they remained loyal to the LORD.’ (13) ַּב ִּמ ְד ָּב֔ר ַא ְר ָּב ִ ֖עים ׁ ָש ָ֑נה ַעד־ ּתֹ ֙ם ,The LORD was incensed at Israel ׇּכל־ ַה ּד֔ ֹור ָהעֹ ֶׂ֥שה ָה ַ ֖רע ְּב ֵעי ֵ֥ני ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ and for forty years He made them )יד( ְו ִה ֵּ֣נה ַק ְמ ֶּת֗ם ַּ ֚ת ַחת ֲאבֹ֣ ֵתי ֶ֔כם wander in the wilderness, until the ַּת ְר ּ֖בוּת ֲא ָנ ׁ ִש֣ים ַח ָּט ִ ֑אים ִל ְס ּ ֣פ ֹות ֗ע ֹוד whole generation that had provoked ֛ ֥ ֖ .the LORD’s displeasure was gone ַעל ֲחר ֹון ַאף־ ְיהֹ ָוה ֶאל־ ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵאֽל׃ )טו( And now you, a breed of sinful (14) ִּ֤כי ְת ׁשוּ ֻב ֙ן ֵמֽ ַא ֲח ָ ֔ריו ְויָ ַס֣ף ֔ע ֹוד ְל ַה ִּני ֖ח ֹו men, have replaced your fathers, to ַּב ִּמ ְד ָּ֑בר ְו ׁ ִשֽ ַח ֶּת֖ם ְל ׇכל־ ָה ָ֥עם add still further to the LORD’s wrath ַה ֶֽזּה׃ }ס{ )טז( ַו ִּי ְּג ׁש֤וּ ֵא ָלי ֙ו against Israel. (15) If you turn away ַו ּ֣יֹא ְמ ֔רוּ ִּג ְד ֥רֹת ֛צֹאן ִנ ְב ֶ֥נה ְל ִמ ְק ֵנ֖נוּ ּפֹ֑ה from Him and He abandons them ֖ ֜ ֣ once more in the wilderness, you will ְו ָע ִרים ְל ַט ּ ֵפֽנוּ׃ )יז( ַו ֲא ַנ ְחנוּ ֵנ ָח ֵלץ ”.bring calamity upon all this people ֻח ׁ ִש֗ים ִל ְפ ֵנ ֙י ְּב ֵנ֣י ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֔אל ַ ֛עד ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר Then they stepped up to him (16) ִאם־ ֲה ִבֽיאֹ ֻ֖נם ֶאל־ ְמק ֹו ָ֑מם ְויָ ׁ ַ ֤שב ַט ּ ֵפ֙נ ֙וּ and said, “We will build here ְּב ָע ֵ ֣רי ַה ִּמ ְב ָ֔צר ִמ ְּפ ֵ֖ני יֹׁ ְש ֵ֥בי ָה ָאֽ ֶרץ׃ sheepfolds for our flocks and towns )יח( לֹ֥א ָנ ׁש֖וּב ֶאל־ ָּב ֵּת֑ינוּ ַע֗ד ִה ְת ַנ ֵח ֙ל for our children. (17) And we will ֣ ֔ ֖ ֣ ֤ hasten as shock-troops in the van of ְּב ֵני ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵאל ִאי ׁש ַנ ֲח ָלתֽ ֹו׃ )יט( ִּכי לֹא the Israelites until we have ִנ ְנ ַח ֙ל ִא ָּת֔ם ֵמ ֵע֥ ֶבר ַל ַּי ְר ֵּ֖דן ָו ָה֑ ְל ָאה ִּ֣כי ,established them in their home ָ֤ב ָאה ַנ ֲח ָל ֵת֙נ ֙וּ ֵא ֵל֔ינוּ ֵמ ֵ֥ע ֶבר ַה ַּי ְר ֵּ֖דן while our children stay in the fortified towns because of the ִמ ְז ָרֽ ָחה׃ }פ{ inhabitants of the land. (18) We will not return to our homes until every one of the Israelites is in possession of his portion. (19) But we will not have a share with them in the territory beyond the Jordan, for we have received our share on the east side of the Jordan.”

במדבר ל״ב:כ׳-כ״ז Numbers 32:20-27 )כ( ַו ּ֤יֹא ֶמר ֲא ֵלי ֶה ֙ם מֹׁ ֶש֔ה ִאֽם־ ַּת ֲע ׂש֖וּן Moses said to them, “If you do (20) ֣ ֑ ֥ ֛ ֥ this, if you go to battle as ֶאת־ ַה ָּד ָבר ַה ֶזּה ִאם־ ֵּת ָח ְלצוּ ִל ְפ ֵני shock-troops, at the instance of the ְיהֹ ָ֖וה ַל ִּמ ְל ָח ָמֽה׃ )כא( ְו ָע ַ֨בר ָל ֶ֧כם LORD, (21) and every shock-fighter ׇּכל־ ָח ֛לוּץ ֶאת־ ַה ַּי ְר ֵּ֖דן ִל ְפ ֵ֣ני ְיהֹ ָ֑וה ַ ֧עד among you crosses the Jordan, at the ה ֹו ִרי ׁ ֛ש ֹו ֶאת־אֹ ְי ָב֖יו ִמ ּ ָפ ָנֽיו׃ )כב( instance of the LORD, until He has ְו ִנ ְכ ְּב ׁ ָש֨ה ָה ָ ֜א ֶרץ ִל ְפ ֵ֤ני ְיהֹ ָו ֙ה ְו ַא ַ ֣חר dispossessed His enemies before Him, (22) and the land has been ָּת ׁ ֻ֔שבוּ ִו ְה ִיי ֶ ֧תם ְנ ִק ִּי֛ם ֵמ ְיהֹ ָו֖ה subdued, at the instance of the וּ ִמ ִּי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא֑ל ְו֠ ָה ְי ָ ֠תה ָה ָא֨ ֶרץ ַה ֥זֹּאת ָל ֶ֛כם LORD, and then you return—you ַל ֲא ֻח ָ֖זּה ִל ְפ ֵ֥ני ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )כג( ְו ִאם־לֹ֤א shall be clear before the LORD and ַת ֲע ׂשוּ ֙ן ֵּ֔כן ִה ֵּנ֥ה ֲח ָטא ֶת֖ם ַליהֹ ָ֑וה וּ ְדע ֙וּ before Israel; and this land shall be ַח ַטא ְת ֶכ֔ם ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר ִּת ְמ ָ֖צא ֶא ְת ֶכֽם׃ )כד( (your holding under the LORD. (23 ּ But if you do not do so, you will have ְּבנֽוּ־ ָל ֶ֤כם ָע ִרי ֙ם ְל ַט ְּפ ֶ֔כם וּ ְג ֵד ֖רֹת sinned against the LORD; and know ְלצֹ ַנ ֲא ֶ֑כם ְו ַה ּיֹ ֵ֥צא ִמ ִּפי ֶ֖כם ַּת ֲע ׂשֽוּ׃ )כה( (that your sin will overtake you. (24 ַו ּ֤יֹא ֶמר ְּב ֵני־ ָג ֙ד וּ ְב ֵ֣ני ְראוּ ֵ֔בן ֶאל־מֹׁ ֶש֖ה Build towns for your children and ֵלאמֹ֑ר ֲע ָב ֶ ֣די ָך ַי ֲע ׂ֔שוּ ַּכ ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר ֲאדֹ ִ֖ני sheepfolds for your flocks, but do ֣ ֔ ֖ what you have promised.” (25) The ְמ ַצ ֶֽוּה׃ )כו( ַט ּ ֵפנוּ ָנ ׁ ֵשינוּ ִמ ְק ֵננוּ Gadites and the Reubenites answered ְו ׇכל־ ְּב ֶה ְמ ֵּת֑נוּ ִיֽ ְהיוּ־ ׁ ָש֖ם ְּב ָע ֵר֥י ַה ִּג ְל ָעֽד׃ Moses, “Your servants will do as my )כז( ַו ֲע ָב ֶ ֨די ָך ַיֽ ַע ְב ֜רוּ ׇּכל־ ֲח ֥לוּץ ָצ ָב֛א ,lord commands. (26) Our children ִל ְפ ֵ֥ני ְיהֹ ָ֖וה ַל ִּמ ְל ָח ָ֑מה ַּכ ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר ֲאדֹ ִ֖ני our wives, our flocks, and all our ּדֹ ֵבֽר׃ other livestock will stay behind in the towns of Gilead; (27) while your servants, all those recruited for war, cross over, at the instance of the LORD, to engage in battle—as my lord orders.”

במדבר ל״ב:כ׳-כ״ז Numbers 32:20-27 )כ( ַו ּ֤יֹא ֶמר ֲא ֵלי ֶה ֙ם מֹׁ ֶש֔ה ִאֽם־ ַּת ֲע ׂש֖וּן Moses said to them, “If you do (20) ֣ ֑ ֥ ֛ ֥ this, if you go to battle as ֶאת־ ַה ָּד ָבר ַה ֶזּה ִאם־ ֵּת ָח ְלצוּ ִל ְפ ֵני shock-troops, at the instance of the ְיהֹ ָ֖וה ַל ִּמ ְל ָח ָמֽה׃ )כא( ְו ָע ַ֨בר ָל ֶ֧כם LORD, (21) and every shock-fighter ׇּכל־ ָח ֛לוּץ ֶאת־ ַה ַּי ְר ֵּ֖דן ִל ְפ ֵ֣ני ְיהֹ ָ֑וה ַ ֧עד among you crosses the Jordan, at the ה ֹו ִרי ׁ ֛ש ֹו ֶאת־אֹ ְי ָב֖יו ִמ ּ ָפ ָנֽיו׃ )כב( instance of the LORD, until He has ְו ִנ ְכ ְּב ׁ ָש֨ה ָה ָ ֜א ֶרץ ִל ְפ ֵ֤ני ְיהֹ ָו ֙ה ְו ַא ַ ֣חר dispossessed His enemies before Him, (22) and the land has been ָּת ׁ ֻ֔שבוּ ִו ְה ִיי ֶ ֧תם ְנ ִק ִּי֛ם ֵמ ְיהֹ ָו֖ה subdued, at the instance of the וּ ִמ ִּי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא֑ל ְו֠ ָה ְי ָ ֠תה ָה ָא֨ ֶרץ ַה ֥זֹּאת ָל ֶ֛כם LORD, and then you return—you ַל ֲא ֻח ָ֖זּה ִל ְפ ֵ֥ני ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )כג( ְו ִאם־לֹ֤א shall be clear before the LORD and ַת ֲע ׂשוּ ֙ן ֵּ֔כן ִה ֵּנ֥ה ֲח ָטא ֶת֖ם ַליהֹ ָ֑וה וּ ְדע ֙וּ before Israel; and this land shall be ַח ַטא ְת ֶכ֔ם ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר ִּת ְמ ָ֖צא ֶא ְת ֶכֽם׃ )כד( (your holding under the LORD. (23 ּ But if you do not do so, you will have ְּבנֽוּ־ ָל ֶ֤כם ָע ִרי ֙ם ְל ַט ְּפ ֶ֔כם וּ ְג ֵד ֖רֹת sinned against the LORD; and know ְלצֹ ַנ ֲא ֶ֑כם ְו ַה ּיֹ ֵ֥צא ִמ ִּפי ֶ֖כם ַּת ֲע ׂשֽוּ׃ )כה( (that your sin will overtake you. במדבר ל״ב:כ״ח-מ״ב Numbers 32:28-42 )כח( ַו ְי ַ֤צו ָל ֶה ֙ם מֹׁ ֶש֔ה ֵ ֚את ֶא ְל ָע ָז֣ר Then Moses gave instructions (28) ֔ ֖ ֣ ֑ ֛ concerning them to Eleazar the ַה ּכֹ ֵהן ְו ֵאת ְיה ֹו ׁ ֻש ַע ִּבן־נוּן ְו ֶאת־ ָרא ׁ ֵשי priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the ֲא ֥ב ֹות ַה ַּמ ּ ֖ט ֹות ִל ְב ֵ֥ני ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵאֽל׃ )כט( .family heads of the Israelite tribes ַו ּ֨יֹא ֶמר מֹׁ ֶש֜ה ֲא ֵל ֶ֗הם ִאם־ ַי ַע ְב ֣רוּ Moses said to them, “If every (29) ְב ֵני־ ָג֣ד וּ ְב ֵני־ ְראוּ ֵ֣בן ׀ ֠ ִ א ְּת ֶ֠כם shock-fighter among the Gadites and ֶאֽת־ ַה ַּי ְר ֵּ֞דן ׇּכל־ ָח ֤לוּץ ַל ִּמ ְל ָח ָמ ֙ה ִל ְפ ֵ֣ני the Reubenites crosses the Jordan with you to do battle, at the instance ְיהֹ ָ֔וה ְו ִנ ְכ ְּב ׁ ָש֥ה ָה ָא֖ ֶרץ ִל ְפ ֵני ֶ֑כם וּ ְנ ַת ֶּ ֥תם of the LORD, and the land is ָל ֶ֛הם ֶאת־ ֶא֥ ֶרץ ַה ִּג ְל ָע֖ד ַל ֲא ֻח ָזּֽה׃ )ל( subdued before you, you shall give ְו ִאם־לֹ֧א ַיֽ ַע ְב ֛רוּ ֲחלוּ ִצ֖ים ִא ְּת ֶ֑כם .them the land of Gilead as a holding ְונֹֽא ֲח ֥זוּ ְבתֹ ְכ ֶ֖כם ְּב ֶא֥ ֶרץ ְּכ ָנֽ ַען׃ )לא( But if they do not cross over (30) ַו ַּיֽ ֲע ֧נוּ ְב ֵני־ ָ֛גד וּ ְב ֵ֥ני ְראוּ ֵ֖בן ֵלאמֹ֑ר ֵא ֩ת with you as shock-troops, they shall ָ receive holdings among you in the ֲא ׁ ֶ֨שר ִ ּד ֶּב֧ר ְיהֹ ָו֛ה ֶאל־ ֲע ָב ֶ ֖דיך ֵּ֥כן land of .” (31) The Gadites ַנ ֲע ֶׂשֽה׃ )לב( ַ֣נ ְחנוּ ַנ ֲעבֹ֧ר ֲחלוּ ִצ֛ים ,and the Reubenites said in reply ִל ְפ ֵנ֥י ְיהֹ ָ֖וה ֶ ֣א ֶרץ ְּכ ָנ֑ ַען ְו ִא ָּ ֙תנוּ֙ ֲא ֻח ַזּ֣ת Whatever the LORD has spoken“ ַנ ֲח ָל ֵת֔נוּ ֵמ ֵע֖ ֶבר ַל ַּי ְר ֵּדֽן׃ )לג( ַו ִּי ֵּ ֣תן concerning your servants, that we ֣ ֡ ֩ ֨ ֜ will do. (32) We ourselves will cross ָל ֶהם ׀ מֹׁ ֶשה ִל ְב ֵני־ ָגד ְו ִל ְב ֵני ְראוּ ֵבן over as shock-troops, at the instance ְו ַל ֲח ִ ֣צי ׀ ׁ ֵ֣ש ֶבט ׀ ְמ ַנ ׁ ּ ֶש֣ה ֶבן־י ֹו ֵ֗סף of the LORD, into the land of ֶאת־ ַמ ְמ ֶ֙ל ֶכ ֙ת ִסיחֹ ֙ן ֶ֣מ ֶל ְך ָהֽ ֱאמִֹ ֔רי Canaan; and we shall keep our ְו ֶא֨ת־ ַמ ְמ ֶ֔ל ֶכת ֖ע ֹוג ֶמ֣ ֶל ְך ַה ָּב ׁ ָש֑ן ָה ָא֗ ֶרץ hereditary holding across the ְל ָע ֶ ֙רי ָ֙ה ִּב ְג ֻב ֔לֹת ָע ֵ ֥רי ָה ָ ֖א ֶרץ ָס ִבֽיב׃ Jordan.” (33) So Moses assigned to ּ ֣ ֔ ֖ them—to the Gadites, the )לד( ַו ִי ְבנוּ ְב ֵני־ ָגד ֶאת־ ִ ּדיבֹן Reubenites, and the half-tribe of ְו ֶאת־ ֲע ָט ֑רֹת ְו ֵ ֖את ֲערֹ ֵעֽר׃ )לה( Manasseh son of Joseph—the ְו ֶאת־ ַע ְטרֹ֥ת ׁש ֹו ָ֛פן ְו ֶאת־ ַי ְע ֵז֖ר ְויׇ ְג ְּב ָהֽה׃ kingdom of Sihon king of the )לו( ְו ֶאת־ ֵּב֥ית ִנ ְמ ָר֖ה ְו ֶאת־ ֵּב֣ית ָה ָ ֑רן Amorites and the kingdom of King ָע ֵ ֥רי ִמ ְב ָ֖צר ְו ִג ְדרֹ֥ת ֽצֹאן׃ )לז( וּ ְב ֵ֤ני Og of Bashan, the land with its ְראוּ ֵב ֙ן ָּב ֔נוּ ֶאת־ ֶח ׁ ְש ּ֖ב ֹון ְו ֶאת־ ֶא ְל ָע ֵל֑א various cities and the territories of ְו ֵא֖ת ִק ְריָ ָ ֽת ִים׃ )לח( ְו ֶאת־ ְנ ֞ב ֹו their surrounding towns. (34) The ֧ ֛ ֥ ֖ ,Gadites rebuilt Dibon, Ataroth ְו ֶאת־ ַּב ַעל ְמע ֹון מֽוּ ַס ּבֹת ׁ ֵשם ,Aroer, (35) Atroth-shophan, Jazer ְו ֶאת־ ִ ׂש ְב ָמ֑ה ַו ִּי ְק ְר ֣אוּ ְב ׁ ֵש ֔מֹת Jogbehah, (36) Beth-nimrah, and ֶאת־ ׁ ְש ֥מ ֹות ֶה ָע ִר֖ים ֲא ׁ ֶ֥שר ָּבנֽוּ׃ )לט( Beth-haran as fortified towns or as ַו ּ֨יֵ ְל ֜כוּ ְּב ֵנ֨י ָמ ִכ֧יר ֶּבן־ ְמ ַנ ׁ ּ ֶש֛ה ִּג ְל ָע֖ ָדה enclosures for flocks. (37) The ַוֽ ִּי ְל ְּכ ֻ ֑ד ָה ַו ּי֖ ֹו ֶר ׁש ֶאת־ ָה ֱאמִֹר֥י ֲא ׁ ֶשר־ ָּֽב ּה׃ ,Reubenites rebuilt Heshbon, Elealeh Kiriathaim, (38) Nebo, )מ( ַו ִּי ֵּת֤ן מֹׁ ֶש ֙ה ֶאת־ ַה ִּג ְל ָע֔ד ְל ָמ ִכ֖יר Baal-meon—some names being ֶּבן־ ְמ ַנ ׁ ּ ֶ֑שה ַו ּ֖יֵ ׁ ֶשב ָּֽב ּה׃ )מא( ְויָ ִא֤יר changed—and Sibmah; they gave ֶּבן־ ְמ ַנ ׁ ּ ֶש ֙ה ָה ַל֔ ְך ַו ִּי ְל ּכֹ֖ד ֶאת־ ַח ֺוּ ֵתי ֶ֑הם their own] names to towns that] ַו ִּי ְק ָר֥א ֶא ְת ֶ֖הן ַח ֺ֥וּת יָ ִאֽיר׃ )מב( ְו ֣נֹ ַבח they rebuilt. (39) The descendants of ָה ַ֔ל ְך ַו ִּי ְל ּ ֥כֹד ֶאת־ ְק ָנ֖ת ְו ֶאת־ ְּבנֹ ֶת֑י ָה Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, dispossessing ּ ֧ ֦ ֖ ַו ִי ְק ָרא ָלה ֿ נֹ ַבח ִּב ׁ ְשמֽ ֹו׃ }פ{ the Amorites who were there; (40) so Moses gave Gilead to Machir son of Manasseh, and he settled there. (41) Jair son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, which he renamed Havvoth-jair. (42) And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its dependencies, renaming it Nobah after himself.

במדבר ל״ג:א׳-י׳ Numbers 33:1-10 )א( ֵא֜ ֶּלה ַמ ְס ֵע֣י ְב ֵנֽי־ ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֗אל ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר These were the marches of the (1) ֛ ֥ ֖ ֑ Israelites who started out from the יָ ְצאוּ ֵמ ֶא ֶרץ ִמ ְצ ַר ִים ְל ִצ ְבאֹ ָתם land of Egypt, troop by troop, in the ְּב ַיד־מֹׁ ֶש֖ה ְו ַא ֲהרֹֽן׃ )ב( ַו ִּי ְכ ּתֹ֨ב מֹׁ ֶש֜ה (charge of Moses and Aaron. (2 ֶאת־מ ֹו ָצ ֵאי ֶ֛הם ְל ַמ ְס ֵעי ֶה֖ם ַעל־ ִּפ֣י Moses recorded the starting points of ְיהֹ ָ֑וה ְו ֵא֥ ֶּלה ַמ ְס ֵעי ֶה֖ם ְלמ ֹו ָצ ֵאי ֶהֽם׃ )ג( their various marches as directed by ַו ִּי ְס ֤עוּ ֵמֽ ַר ְע ְמ ֵס ֙ס ַּבחֹ֣ ֶד ׁש ָהֽ ִרא ׁ ֔ש ֹון the LORD. Their marches, by starting points, were as follows: (3) ַּב ֲח ִמ ׁ ּ ָ֥שה ָע ָׂש֛ר ֖י ֹום ַלחֹ֣ ֶד ׁש ָה ִרא ׁ ֑ש ֹון They set out from Rameses in the ִמֽ ׇּמ ֳח ַ ֣רת ַה ּ ֶפ֗ ַסח יָ ְצ ֤אוּ ְב ֵנֽי־ ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא ֙ל first month, on the fifteenth day of ֣ ֔ ֖ the first month. It was on the ְּביָד ָר ָמה ְל ֵעי ֵני ׇּכל־ ִמ ְצ ָרֽ ִים׃ )ד( morrow of the passover offering that וּ ִמ ְצ ַ ֣ר ִים ְמ ַק ְּב ִר֗ים ֵא ֩ת ֲא ׁ ֶש֨ר ִה ָּכ֧ה the Israelites started out defiantly, in ְיהֹ ָ֛וה ָּב ֶ֖הם ׇּכל־ ְּב ֑כ ֹור וּ ֵבאלֹ֣ ֵהי ֶ֔הם (plain view of all the Egyptians. (4 ָע ָׂש֥ה ְיהֹ ָו֖ה ׁ ְש ָפ ִטֽים׃ )ה( ַו ִּי ְס ֥עוּ The Egyptians meanwhile were ְב ֵנֽי־ ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא֖ל ֵמ ַר ְע ְמ ֵס֑ס ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ֻס ּ ֽכֹת׃ burying those among them whom the LORD had struck down, every )ו( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ֻּס ּכֹ֑ת ַו ַּי ֲח ֣נוּ ְב ֵא ָ ֔תם ֲא ׁ ֶש֖ר first-born—whereby the LORD ִּב ְק ֵ֥צה ַה ִּמ ְד ָּֽבר׃ )ז( ַו ִּי ְסעוּ֙ ֵמֽ ֵא ָת֔ם (executed judgment on their gods. (5 ַו ּיָ֙ ׁ ׇש ֙ב ַעל־ ִּפ֣י ַה ִחירֹ֔ת ֲא ׁ ֶ֥שר ַעל־ ְּפ ֵ֖ני The Israelites set out from Rameses ַּב֣ ַעל ְצ ֑פ ֹון ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ִל ְפ ֵ֥ני ִמ ְג ּֽדֹל׃ )ח( and encamped at Succoth. (6) They ַו ִּי ְסעוּ֙ ִמ ְּפ ֵ֣ני ַהֽ ִחירֹ֔ת ַו ַּיֽ ַע ְב ֥רוּ set out from Succoth and encamped ְ ְ at Etham, which is on the edge of the ְבת ֹוך־ ַה ּיָ֖ם ַה ִּמ ְד ָּב֑ ָרה ַו ּ֨יֵ ְל ֜כוּ ֶּ֣ד ֶרך wilderness. (7) They set out from ׁ ְש ֤לֹׁ ֶשת יָ ִמי ֙ם ְּב ִמ ְד ַּ֣בר ֵא ָ ֔תם ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ Etham and turned about toward ְּב ָמ ָרֽה׃ )ט( ַו ִּי ְסע ֙וּ ִמ ָּמ ָ ֔רה ַו ּיָבֹ֖אוּ Pi-hahiroth, which faces ֵאי ִ ֑ל ָמה ֠וּ ְב ֵאי ִ ֠לם ׁ ְש ֵּת֣ים ֶע ְ ׂש ֵ ֞רה ֵעי ֥נֹת Baal-zephon, and they encamped ֛ ֥ ֖ ּ before Migdol. (8) They set out from ַמ ִים ְו ׁ ִש ְב ִעים ְּת ָמ ִרים ַו ַי ֲחנוּ־ ׁ ָשֽם׃ )י( Pene-hahiroth and passed through ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ֵאי ִ ֑לם ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ַעל־ ַים־סֽוּף׃ the sea into the wilderness; and they made a three-days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and encamped at Marah. (9) They set out from Marah and came to . There were twelve springs in Elim and seventy palm trees, so they encamped there. (10) They set out from Elim and encamped by the Sea of Reeds.

במדבר ל״ג:י״א-ל״ו Numbers 33:11-36 )יא( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ַּים־ ֑סוּף ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ They set out from the Sea of (11) Reeds and encamped in the ְּב ִמ ְד ַּבר־ ִסֽין׃ )יב( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ִּמ ְד ַּבר־ ִ ֑סין . (12) They set out ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ׇד ְפ ָקֽה׃ )יג( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ׇּד ְפ ָק֑ה from the wilderness of Sin and ּ ֖ ּ ֖ ֑ encamped at . (13) They set ַוֽ ַי ֲחנוּ ְּב ָא ֽלוּ ׁש׃ )יד( ַו ִי ְסעוּ ֵמ ָאלוּ ׁש out from Dophkah and encamped at ַוֽ ַּי ֲחנ ֙וּ ִּב ְר ִפי ִד֔ם ְולֹא־ ָה֨יָה ׁ ָש֥ם ַמ֛ ִים . (14) They set out from Alush ָל ָע֖ם ִל ׁ ְש ּתֽ ֹות׃ )טו( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ְר ִפי ִ ֑דם and encamped at ; it was ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִמ ְד ַּ֥בר ִסי ָנֽי׃ )טז( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ there that the people had no water to ִמ ִּמ ְד ַּ֣בר ִסי ָנ֑י ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִק ְב ֥רֹת ַהֽ ַּת ֲא ָוֽה׃ drink. (15) They set out from Rephidim and encamped in the )יז( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ִּק ְב ֣רֹת ַהֽ ַּת ֲא ָו֑ה ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ wilderness of Sinai. (16) They set out ַּב ֲח ֵצרֹֽת׃ )יח( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ֲח ֵצ ֑רֹת ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ from the wilderness of Sinai and ְּב ִר ְת ָמֽה׃ )יט( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ִר ְת ָמ֑ה ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ (encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah. (17 ְּב ִר ּ ֥מֹן ּ ָפֽ ֶרץ׃ )כ( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ִר ּ ֣מֹן ּ ָפ֑ ֶרץ They set out from Kibroth-hattaavah ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִל ְב ָנֽה׃ )כא( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ִּל ְב ָנ֑ה (and encamped at Hazeroth. (18 They set out from Hazeroth and ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִר ָּֽסה׃ )כב( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ִר ָּס֑ה encamped at Rithmah. (19) They set ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ִּב ְק ֵה ָֽל ָתה׃ )כג( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ out from Rithmah and encamped at ִמ ְּק ֵה ָ֑ל ָתה ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ַהר־ ׁ ָשֽ ֶפר׃ )כד( Rimmon-perez. (20) They set out ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמֽ ַהר־ ׁ ָש֑ ֶפר ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ַּב ֲח ָר ָדֽה׃ from Rimmon-perez and encamped ּ ֖ ֑ ּ ֖ at Libnah. (21) They set out from )כה( ַו ִי ְסעוּ ֵמ ֲח ָר ָדה ַוֽ ַי ֲחנוּ ְּב ַמ ְק ֵה ֽלֹת׃ (Libnah and encamped at Rissah. (22 )כו( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ַּמ ְק ֵהלֹ֑ת ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ָתֽ ַחת׃ They set out from Rissah and )כז( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ָּ ֑ת ַחת ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ָתֽ ַרח׃ encamped at Kehelath. (23) They set )כח( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ָּ ֑ת ַרח ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִמ ְת ָקֽה׃ out from Kehelath and encamped at )כט( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ִּמ ְת ָק֑ה ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ַח ׁ ְשמֹ ָנֽה׃ Mount Shepher. (24) They set out ּ ֖ ֑ ּ ֖ from Mount Shepher and encamped )ל( ַו ִי ְסעוּ ֵמֽ ַח ׁ ְשמֹ ָנה ַוֽ ַי ֲחנוּ ְּבמֹ ֵסרֽ ֹות׃ at Haradah. (25) They set out from )לא( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ּמֹ ֵס ֑ר ֹות ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ִּב ְב ֵ֥ני Haradah and encamped at ַי ֲע ָקֽן׃ )לב( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ְּב ֵנ֣י ַי ֲע ָק֑ן ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ Makheloth. (26) They set out from ְּבחֹ֥ר ַה ִּג ְד ָּגֽד׃ )לג( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ֣חֹר ַה ִּג ְד ָּג֑ד .Makheloth and encamped at Tahath ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּביׇ ְט ָבֽ ָתה׃ )לד( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ּיׇ ְט ָב֑ ָתה They set out from Tahath and (27) ּ ֖ ּ ֖ ֑ encamped at Terah. (28) They set ַוֽ ַי ֲחנוּ ְּב ַע ְברֹ ָנֽה׃ )לה( ַו ִי ְסעוּ ֵמֽ ַע ְברֹ ָנה out from Terah and encamped at ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ֶע ְצ ֥יֹן ָּגֽ ֶבר׃ )לו( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ֶע ְציֹ֣ן Mithkah. (29) They set out from ָּ֑ג ֶבר ַו ַּי ֲח ֥נוּ ְב ִמ ְד ַּבר־ ִ ֖צן ִ ֥הוא ָק ֵדֽ ׁש׃ Mithkah and encamped at Hashmonah. (30) They set out from Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth. (31) They set out from Moseroth and encamped at Bene-jaakan. (32) They set out from Bene-jaakan and encamped at Hor-haggidgad. (33) They set out from Hor-haggidgad and encamped at Jotbath. (34) They set out from Jotbath and encamped at Abronah. (35) They set out from Abronah and encamped at Ezion-geber. (36) They set out from Ezion-geber and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, that is, Kadesh.

(38) Aaron the ַה ּכֹ ֵה֜ן ֶאל־ ֥הֹר ָה ָה֛ר ַעל־ ִּפ֥י ְיהֹ ָו֖ה ַו ּ֣יָ ׇמת priest ascended Mount Hor at the ׁ ָ֑שם ִּב ׁ ְש ַ֣נת ָהֽ ַא ְר ָּב ִע֗ים ְל ֵ֤צאת command of the LORD and died ְּב ֵנֽי־ ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵא ֙ל ֵמ ֶ ֣א ֶרץ ִמ ְצ ַ ֔ר ִים ַּבחֹ֥ ֶד ׁש there, in the fortieth year after the ַה ֲח ִמי ׁ ִש֖י ְּב ֶא ָ ֥חד ַלחֹֽ ֶד ׁש׃ )לט( ְו ַא ֲהרֹ֔ן ,Israelites had left the land of Egypt on the first day of the fifth month. ֶּבן־ ׁ ָש ֧לֹׁש ְו ֶע ְ ׂש ִר֛ים וּ ְמ ַ ֖את ׁ ָש ָנ֑ה ְּבמֹ ֖ת ֹו Aaron was a hundred and (39) ְּבהֹ֥ר ָה ָהֽר׃ }ס{ )מ( ַו ִּי ׁ ְש ַ ֗מע twenty-three years old when he died ַהֽ ְּכ ַנ ֲע ִנ ֙י ֶמ֣ ֶל ְך ֲע ָר֔ד ְוהֽוּא־יֹׁ ֵש֥ב ַּב ֶּ֖נ ֶגב on Mount Hor. (40) And the ְּב ֶא֣ ֶרץ ְּכ ָ֑נ ַען ְּבבֹ֖א ְּב ֵ֥ני ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵאֽל׃ )מא( Canaanite, king of Arad, who dwelt ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ֣הֹר ָה ָה֑ר ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ַצ ְלמֹ ָנֽה׃ ,in the Negeb, in the land of Canaan learned of the coming of the )מב( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ַּצ ְלמֹ ָ֑נה ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּבפוּ ֽנֹן׃ Israelites. (41) They set out from )מג( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ּפוּ ֑נֹן ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּבאֹבֹֽת׃ )מד( Mount Hor and encamped at ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמאֹ ֑בֹת ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֛נוּ ְּב ִע ּיֵ֥י ָה ֲע ָב ִר֖ים Zalmonah. (42) They set out from ִּב ְג ֥בוּל מ ֹו ָאֽב׃ )מה( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ֵמ ִע ִּי֑ים .Zalmonah and encamped at Punon ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ִדי ֥בֹן ָּגֽד׃ )מו( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ ִמ ִ ּדיבֹ֣ן They set out from Punon and (43) ָּ֑גד ַוֽ ַּי ֲח ֖נוּ ְּב ַע ְל ֥מֹן ִ ּד ְב ָל ָ ֽת ְי ָמה׃ )מז( encamped at Oboth. (44) They set ּ ֖ ֣ ֑ ּ ֛ ֥ out from Oboth and encamped at ַו ִי ְסעוּ ֵמ ַע ְלמֹן ִ ּד ְב ָל ָת ְי ָמה ַוֽ ַי ֲחנוּ ְּב ָה ֵרי .Iye-abarim, in the territory of Moab ָה ֲע ָב ִר֖ים ִל ְפ ֵ֥ני ְנבֽ ֹו׃ )מח( ַו ִּי ְס ֖עוּ They set out from Iyim and (45) ֵמ ָה ֵ ֣רי ָה ֲע ָב ִר֑ים ַוֽ ַּי ֲחנ ֙וּ ְּב ַעֽ ְרבֹ֣ת מ ֹו ָ ֔אב encamped at Dibon-gad. (46) They ַע֖ל ַי ְר ֵּ֥דן ְי ֵרחֽ ֹו׃ )מט( ַו ַּי ֲח ֤נוּ ַעל־ ַה ַּי ְר ֵּד ֙ן set out from Dibon-gad and ִמ ֵּב֣ית ַה ְי ׁ ִש ֔מֹת ַע֖ד ָא ֵב֣ל ַה ׁ ִּש ִּט֑ים (encamped at Almon-diblathaim. (47 They set out from Almon-diblathaim ְּב ַעֽ ְרבֹ֖ת מ ֹו ָאֽב׃ }ס{ ,and encamped in the hills of Abarim before Nebo. (48) They set out from the hills of Abarim and encamped in the steppes of Moab, at the Jordan near Jericho; (49) they encamped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim, in the steppes of Moab.

במדבר כ״ח:ט׳-ט״ו Numbers 28:9-15 )ט( וּ ְבי ֹו ֙ם ַה ׁ ּ ַש ָּ֔בת ׁ ְש ֵנֽי־ ְכ ָב ִ ׂש֥ים On the sabbath day: two yearling (9) ֖ ֑ ֣ ֗ ֧ lambs without blemish, together ְּב ֵנֽי־ ׁ ָש ָנה ְּת ִמי ִמם וּ ׁ ְש ֵני ֶע ְ ׂשרֹ ִנים סֹ ֶלת with two-tenths of a measure of ִמ ְנ ָח֛ה ְּבלוּ ָ֥לה ַב ׁ ּ ֶש֖ ֶמן ְו ִנ ְס ּכֽ ֹו׃ )י( עֹ ַ֥לת choice flour with oil mixed in as a ׁ ַש ַּ֖בת ְּב ׁ ַש ַּב ּת֑ ֹו ַעל־עֹ ַל֥ת ַה ָּת ִמ֖יד meal offering, and with the proper ְו ִנ ְס ָּכֽ ּה׃ }פ{ libation— (10) a burnt offering for )יא( וּ ְב ָרא ׁ ֵש ֙י ׇח ְד ׁ ֵשי ֶ֔כם ַּת ְק ִר֥יבוּ every sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its עֹ ָ֖לה ַליהֹ ָ֑וה ּ ָפ ִר֨ים ְּב ֵנֽי־ ָב ָק֤ר ׁ ְש ַנ֙ ִי ֙ם libation. (11) On your new moons ְו ַא֣ ִיל ֶא ָ ֔חד ְּכ ָב ִ ׂ֧שים ְּב ֵני־ ׁ ָש ָ֛נה ׁ ִש ְב ָע֖ה you shall present a burnt offering to ְּת ִמי ִמֽם׃ )יב( וּ ׁ ְשלֹׁ ָש֣ה ֶע ְ ׂשרֹ ִנ֗ים סֹ֤ ֶלת the LORD: two bulls of the herd, one ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְּבלוּ ָ֣לה ַב ׁ ּ ֶ֔ש ֶמן ַל ּ ָפ֖ר ָה ֶא ָ ֑חד ,ram, and seven yearling lambs וּ ׁ ְש ֵנ֣י ֶע ְ ׂשרֹ ִנ֗ים סֹ֤ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְּבלוּ ָל֣ה without blemish. (12) As meal offering for each bull: three-tenths of ַב ׁ ּ ֶ֔ש ֶמן ָל ַא֖ ִיל ָהֽ ֶא ָחֽד׃ )יג( ְו ִע ּ ָׂשרֹ֣ן a measure of choice flour with oil ִע ּ ָׂש ֗ר ֹון סֹ֤ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְּבלוּ ָ֣לה ַב ׁ ּ ֶ֔ש ֶמן mixed in. As meal offering for each ַל ֶּ֖כ ֶב ׂש ָה ֶא ָח֑ד עֹ ָל ֙ה ֵ ֣רי ַח ִניחֹ֔ ַח ִא ׁ ּ ֶש֖ה ram: two-tenths of a measure of ֗ ֣ ֩ (choice flour with oil mixed in. (13 ַליהֹ ָוֽה׃ )יד( ְו ִנ ְס ֵּכי ֶהם ֲח ִצי ַה ִהין As meal offering for each lamb: a ִי ְה ֨יֶה ַל ּ ָפ֜ר וּ ׁ ְש ִלי ׁ ִ ֧שת ַה ִ ֣הין ָל ַ ֗א ִיל tenth of a measure of fine flour with וּ ְר ִבי ִ ֥עת ַה ִ ֛הין ַל ֶּ֖כ ֶב ׂש יָ֑ ִין ֣זֹאת עֹ ַ֥לת oil mixed in. Such shall be the burnt חֹ֙ ֶד ׁ ֙ש ְּב ׇח ְד ׁ ֔ש ֹו ְל ׇח ְד ׁ ֵש֖י ַה ׁ ּ ָש ָנֽה׃ )טו( offering of pleasing odor, an offering וּ ְ ׂש ִ ֨עיר ִע ִזּ֥ים ֶא ָ ֛חד ְל ַח ָּ֖טאת ַליהֹ ָו֑ה by fire to the LORD. (14) Their libations shall be: half a hin of wine ַעל־עֹ ַל֧ת ַה ָּת ִ ֛מיד יֵ ָע ֶׂש֖ה ,for a bull, a third of a hin for a ram ְו ִנ ְס ּכֽ ֹו׃ }ס{ .and a quarter of a hin for a lamb That shall be the monthly burnt offering for each new moon of the year. (15) And there shall be one goat as a sin offering to the LORD, to be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its libation.

ירמיהו ב׳:ד׳-ג׳:ד׳ Jeremiah 2:4-3:4 )ד( ׁ ִש ְמ ֥עוּ ְד ַבר־ ְיהֹ ָ֖וה ֵּ֣בית ַי ֲעקֹ֑ב Hear the word of the LORD, O (4) ֖ ֥ ֣ House of Jacob, Every clan of the ְו ׇכֽל־ ִמ ׁ ְש ְּפח ֹות ֵּבית ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵאֽל׃ )ה( ּכֹה ׀ House of Israel! (5) Thus said the ָא ַ ֣מר ְיהֹ ָ֗וה ַמה־ ָּמ ְצ ֨אוּ ֲאב ֹו ֵתי ֶ֥כם ִּב ֙י LORD: What wrong did your fathers ָע֔ ֶול ִּ֥כי ָר ֲח ֖קוּ ֵמ ָע ָ֑לי ַו ּ֥יֵ ְל ֛כוּ ַא ֲח ֵר֥י find in Me That they abandoned Me ַה ֶה֖ ֶבל ַו ּיֶ ְה ָּֽבלוּ׃ )ו( ְו ֣לֹא ָאֽ ְמ ֔רוּ ַא ּיֵ֣ה And went after delusion and were ְיהֹ ָ֔וה ַה ַּמ ֲע ֶל֥ה אֹ ָ ֖תנוּ ֵמ ֶ ֣א ֶרץ ִמ ְצ ָר֑ ִים deluded? (6) They never asked ְ ,themselves, “Where is the LORD ַה ּמ ֹו ִ ֨ליך אֹ ָת֜נוּ ַּב ִּמ ְד ָּב֗ר ְּב ֶא֨ ֶרץ ֲע ָר ָב֤ה Who brought us up from the land of ְו ׁשוּ ָח ֙ה ְּב ֶא֙ ֶר ֙ץ ִצ ּיָ֣ה ְו ַצ ְל ָמ֔ ֶות ְּב ֶא֗ ֶרץ Egypt, Who led us through the לֹא־ ָע֤ ַבר ָּב ּ ֙ה ִא֔י ׁש ְולֹא־יָ ׁ ַ ֥שב ָא ָ ֖דם wilderness, A land of deserts and ׁ ָשֽם׃ )ז( ָו ָא ִב֤יא ֶא ְת ֶכ ֙ם ֶאל־ ֶא֣ ֶרץ ,pits, A land of drought and darkness ַה ַּכ ְר ֶמ֔ל ֶל ֱא ֥כֹל ִּפ ְריָ֖ ּה ְוטוּ ָב֑ ּה ַו ָּתבֹ֙א ֙וּ A land no man had traversed, Where no human being had dwelt?” (7) I ַו ְּת ַט ְּמ ֣אוּ ֶאת־ ַא ְר ִ ֔צי ְו ַנ ֲח ָל ִ ֥תי ַׂש ְמ ֶּ ֖תם brought you to this country of farm ְלת ֹו ֵע ָבֽה׃ )ח( ַה ּכֹ ֲה ִנ֗ים ֤לֹא ָאֽ ְמר ֙וּ ;land To enjoy its fruit and its bounty ַא ּ֣יֵה ְיהֹ ָ֔וה ְותֹ ְפ ֵׂש֤י ַה ּת ֹו ָר ֙ה ֣לֹא ְי ָד ֔עוּ ִני ,But you came and defiled My land ֖ ֣ ֑ ֙ ֣ .You made My possession abhorrent ְו ָהרֹ ִעים ּ ָפ ׁ ְשעוּ ִבי ְו ַה ְּנ ִב ִאים ִנ ְּבאוּ The priests never asked (8) ַב ַּ֔ב ַעל ְו ַא ֲח ֵר֥י לֹֽא־י ֹו ִ ֖עלוּ ָה ָלֽכוּ׃ )ט( ”?themselves, “Where is the LORD ָל ֵ֗כן עֹ֛ד ָא ִר֥יב ִא ְּת ֶ֖כם ְנ ֻאם־ ְיהֹ ָו֑ה The guardians of the Teaching ְו ֶאת־ ְּב ֵנ֥י ְב ֵני ֶ֖כם ָא ִרֽיב׃ )י( ִּכ֣י ִע ְב ֞רוּ ignored Me; The rulers rebelled ִא ּ֤יֵי ִכ ִּת ִּיי ֙ם וּ ְר ֔אוּ ְו ֵק ָ ֛דר ׁ ִש ְל ֥חוּ against Me, And the prophets prophesied by Baal And followed ְו ִהֽ ְת ּב ֹו ְנ ֖נוּ ְמאֹ֑ד וּ ְר ֕אוּ ֵה֥ן ָה ְי ָ ֖תה ָּכזֹֽאת׃ what can do no good. (9) Oh, I will )יא( ַה ֵהי ִ ֥מיר ּג ֹו ֙י ֱאלֹ ִה֔ים ְו ֵה֖ ָּמה לֹ֣א go on accusing you —declares the ֱאלֹ ִה֑ים ְו ַע ִּ ֛מי ֵה ִ ֥מיר ְּכב ֹו ֖ד ֹו ְּב ֥ל ֹוא LORD— And I will accuse your י ֹו ִעֽיל׃ )יב( ׁ ֥שֹ ּמוּ ׁ ָש ַ ֖מ ִים ַעל־זֹ֑את children’s children! (10) Just cross ְו ַׂש ֲע ֛רוּ ׇח ְר ֥בוּ ְמ ֖אֹד ְנ ֻאם־ ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )יג( over to the isles of the Kittim and look, Send to Kedar and observe ִּֽכי־ ׁ ְש ַּ ֥ת ִים ָר ֖ע ֹות ָע ָׂש֣ה ַע ִּמ֑י אֹ ִת֨י ָע ְז ֜בוּ carefully; See if aught like this has ְמ ֣ק ֹור ׀ ַ ֣מ ִים ַח ִּי֗ים ַל ְח ֤צֹב ָל ֶה ֙ם ever happened: (11) Has any nation ּבֹא ֔ר ֹות ּבֹארֹ ֙ת ִנ ׁ ְש ָּב ִר֔ים ֲא ׁ ֶש֥ר changed its gods Even though they לֹֽא־יָ ִכ֖לוּ ַה ָּֽמ ִים׃ )יד( ַה ֶע֙ ֶב ֙ד ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֔אל are no-gods? But My people has ֥ ֖ ֑ ֖ ֥ exchanged its glory For what can do ִאם־ ְי ִליד ַּב ִית הוּא ַמ ּדוּ ַע ָהיָה ָל ַבֽז׃ no good. (12) Be appalled, O )טו( ָע ָלי ֙ו ִי ׁ ְש ֲא ֣גוּ ְכ ִפ ִר֔ים ָנ ְת ֖נוּ ק ֹו ָ֑לם heavens, at this; Be horrified, utterly ַו ּיָ ׁ ִש֤יתוּ ַא ְרצ ֹ֙ו ְל ׁ ַש ָּמ֔ה ָע ָ ֥ריו )נצתה( dazed! —says the LORD. (13) For My ] ִנ ְּצ ֖תוּ[ ִמ ְּב ִ ֥לי יֹׁ ֵשֽב׃ )טז( ַּגם־ ְּב ֵני־נֹ֖ף :people have done a twofold wrong )ותחפנס( ] ְו ַת ְח ּ ַפ ְנ ֵח֑ס[ ִי ְר ֖עוּ ְך ׇק ְדקֹֽד׃ They have forsaken Me, the Fount of living waters, And hewed them out )יז( ֲהל ֹוא־ ֖זֹאת ַּת ֲע ֶׂשה־ ָּל֑ ְך ׇע ְז ֵב ְ֙ך ְ ְ cisterns, broken cisterns, Which ֶאת־ ְיהֹ ָ֣וה ֱאלֹ ַה֔ ִיך ְּב ֵע֖ת מ ֹו ִל ֵכ֥ך cannot even hold water. (14) Is Israel ַּב ָּֽד ֶר ְך׃ )יח( ְו ַע ָּ ֗תה ַמה־ ָּל ְך֙ ְל ֶ ֣ד ֶר ְך ?a bondman? Is he a home-born slave ִמ ְצ ַ ֔ר ִים ִל ׁ ְש ּ ֖ת ֹות ֵמ֣י ׁ ִש ֑ח ֹור וּ ַמה־ ָּל ְ֙ך Then why is he given over to ְל ֶ ֣ד ֶר ְך ַא ׁ ּש֔וּר ִל ׁ ְש ּת֖ ֹות ֵ֥מי ָנ ָהֽר׃ )יט( plunder? (15) Lions have roared over ֣ ְ ֗ ְ ֙ ְ֙ ֔ ְ him, Have raised their cries. They ְּת ַי ְּס ֵרך ָר ָע ֵתך וּ ְמ ׁ ֻשב ֹו ַת ִיך ּתֽ ֹו ִכ ֻחך have made his land a waste, His cities וּ ְד ִע֤י וּ ְר ִא ֙י ִּֽכי־ ַר֣ע ָו ָמ֔ר ׇע ְז ֵ֖ב ְך (desolate, without inhabitants. (16 ֶאת־ ְיהֹ ָ֣וה ֱאלֹ ָה֑ ִי ְך ְו ֤לֹא ַפ ְח ָּד ִת ֙י ֵא ַל֔ ִי ְך Those, too, in Noph and Tahpanhes Will lay bare your head. (17) See, ְנ ֻאם־ ֲאדֹ ָ֥ני יֱהִֹ֖וה ְצ ָבאֽ ֹות׃ )כ( ִּ֣כי that is the price you have paid For ֵמע ֹו ָל֞ם ׁ ָש ַ֣ב ְר ִּתי ֻע ֵּ֗ל ְך ִנ ַּ ֙ת ְק ִּת ֙י forsaking the LORD your God ֔ ְ ֖ ֣ (While He led you in the way. (18 מ ֹו ְסר ֹו ַת ִיך ַו ּתֹא ְמ ִרי לֹא )אעבוד( What, then, is the good of your ] ֶא ֱע ֑ב ֹור[ ִּ֣כי ַעֽל־ ׇּכל־ ִּג ְב ָע֞ה ְּגבֹ ָה֗ה going to Egypt To drink the waters ְו ַ ֙ת ַח ֙ת ׇּכל־ ֵע֣ץ ַר ֲע ָ֔נן ַ ֖א ְּת צֹ ָע֥ה זֹ ָנֽה׃ of the Nile? And what is the good of )כא( ְו ָאֽנֹ ִכ ֙י ְנ ַט ְע ִּ ֣תי ְך ׂש ֹו ֵר֔ק ֻּכ ּלֹ֖ה ֶ֣ז ַרע your going to Assyria To drink the ֱא ֶמ֑ת ְו ֵאי ְ֙ך ֶנ ְה ּ ַפ֣ ְכ ְּת ִ ֔לי סוּ ֵ ֖רי ַה ֶּ֥ג ֶפן waters of the Euphrates? (19) Let your misfortune reprove you, Let נׇ ְכ ִר ּיָֽה׃ )כב( ִּכ֤י ִאם־ ְּת ַכ ְּב ִס ֙י ַּב ֶּנ֔ ֶתר your afflictions rebuke you; Mark ְו ַת ְר ִּבי־ ָל֖ ְך ּבִֹר֑ית ִנ ְכ ָּ ֤תם ֲע ֺו ֵנ ְך֙ ְל ָפ ַנ֔י well how bad and bitter it is That ְנ ֻא֖ם ֲאדֹ ָנ֥י יֱהִֹוֽה׃ )כג( ֵ ֣אי ְך ּתֹא ְמ ִ ֞רי ,you forsake the LORD your God לֹ֣א ִנ ְט ֵמ֗א ִתי ַא ֲח ֵר֤י ַה ְּב ָע ִלי ֙ם לֹ֣א That awe for Me is not in you ָה ַל֔ ְכ ִּתי ְר ִ ֤אי ַד ְר ֵּכ ְך֙ ַּב ַּג֔ ְיא ְ ּד ִ ֖עי ֶ֣מה .declares the Lord GOD of Hosts— (20) For long ago you broke your ָע ִ ׂ֑שית ִּב ְכ ָר֥ה ַק ָּל֖ה ְמ ָׂש ֶ ֥ר ֶכת ְ ּד ָר ֶכֽי ָה׃ yoke, Tore off your yoke-bands, And )כד( ּ ֶפ֣ ֶרה ׀ ִל ֻּ֣מד ִמ ְד ָּב֗ר ְּב ַא ַ֤וּת said, “I will not work!” On every high )נפשו( ] ַנ ְפ ׁ ָש ּ ֙ה[ ׁ ָש ֲא ָ֣פה ֔רוּ ַח ַּת ֲא ָנ ָת֖ ּה ,hill and under every verdant tree ִ ֣מי ְי ׁ ִשי ֶ֑ב ָּנה ׇּכל־ ְמ ַב ְק ׁ ֶ֙שי ָה֙ ֣לֹא ִיי ָע֔פוּ You recline as a whore. (21) I planted you with noble vines, All with ְּב ׇח ְד ׁ ָש֖ ּה ִי ְמ ָצאֽוּ ְנ ָה׃ )כה( ִמ ְנ ִ ֤עי ַר ְג ֵל ְ֙ך ְ choicest seed; Alas, I find you ִמ ּיָ ֵ ֔חף )וגורנך( ]וּ ְגר ֹו ֵ֖נך[ ִמ ִּצ ְמ ָא֑ה !changed Into a base, an alien vine ַו ּתֹא ְמ ִ ֣רי נ ֹו ָ ֔א ׁש ֕ל ֹוא ִּֽכי־ ָא ַ ֥ה ְב ִּתי ָז ִר֖ים Though you wash with natron (22) ְו ַא ֲח ֵרי ֶ֥הם ֵא ֵלֽ ְך׃ )כו( ְּכבֹ֤ ׁ ֶשת ַּג ָּנ ֙ב ִּ֣כי And use much lye, Your guilt is ִי ָּמ ֵצ֔א ֵּכ֥ן הֹ ִב֖י ׁשוּ ֵּ֣בית ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֑אל ֵה֤ ָּמה ingrained before Me —declares the ֙ ֔ ֖ Lord GOD. (23) How can you say, “I ַמ ְל ֵכי ֶהם ָׂש ֵרי ֶהם ְוכֹ ֲה ֵני ֶהם am not defiled, I have not gone after וּ ְנ ִבי ֵאי ֶהֽם׃ )כז( אֹ ְמ ִר֨ים ָל ֵ֜עץ ָא֣ ִבי the Baalim”? Look at your deeds in ַ ֗א ָּתה ְו ָל ֶא֙ ֶב ֙ן ַא֣ ְּת )ילדתני( ] ְי ִל ְד ָּ ֔תנוּ[ the Valley, Consider what you have ִּֽכי־ ָפ ֥נוּ ֵא ַ֛לי עֹ֖ ֶרף ְולֹ֣א ָפ ִנ֑ים וּ ְב ֵ֤עת ,done! Like a lustful she-camel ָר ָע ָת ֙ם יֹֽא ְמ ֔רוּ ֖קוּ ָמה ְוה ֹו ׁ ִשי ֵעֽנוּ׃ )כח( Restlessly running about, (24) Or like ּ֤ ֙ ָ֙ ֣ ֣ ֔ ְ ֕ a wild ass used to the desert, Snuffing ְו ַאיֵה ֱאלֹ ֶהיך ֲא ׁ ֶשר ָע ִ ׂשי ָת ָּלך יָקוּמוּ the wind in her eagerness, Whose ִאם־י ֹו ׁ ִשי ֖עוּ ָך ְּב ֵ֣עת ָר ָע ֶ ֑ת ָך ִּכ֚י ִמ ְס ּ ַפ֣ר passion none can restrain, None that ָע ֶ ֔רי ָך ָה ֥יוּ ֱאלֹ ֶה֖י ָך ְיהוּ ָדֽה׃ }ס{ seek her need grow weary— In her season, they’ll find her! (25) Save )כט( ָ֥ל ָּמה ָת ִר֖יבוּ ֵא ָ֑לי ֻּכ ְּל ֶ֛כם your foot from going bare, And your ְּפ ׁ ַש ְע ֶּת֥ם ִּב֖י ְנ ֻאם־ ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )ל( ַל ׁ ּ ָש ְו ֙א throat from thirst. But you say, “It is ֣ ֔ ֖ ֣ ֑ no use. No, I love the strangers, And ִה ֵּכי ִתי ֶאת־ ְּב ֵני ֶכם מוּ ָסר לֹא ָל ָקחוּ after them I must go.” (26) Like a ָא ְכ ָ֧לה ַח ְר ְּב ֶ֛כם ְנ ִבי ֵאי ֶ֖כם ְּכ ַא ְריֵ֥ה thief chagrined when he is caught, So ַמ ׁ ְש ִחֽית׃ )לא( ַה ּ֗ד ֹור ַא ֶּת ֙ם ְר ֣אוּ —is the House of Israel chagrined ְד ַבר־ ְיהֹ ָ֔וה ֲה ִמ ְד ָּב֤ר ָה ִי֙י ִת ֙י ְל ִי ְ ׂש ָר ֵ ֔אל They, their kings, their officers, And ִא֛ם ֶ ֥א ֶרץ ַמ ְא ּ ֵ֖פ ְליָ֑ה ַמ ּ֜דוּ ַע ָא ְמ ֤רוּ ַע ִּמ ֙י their priests and prophets. (27) They ָ ”,said to wood, “You are my father ַ ֔ר ְדנוּ ֽל ֹוא־ ָנ ֥ב ֹוא ֖ע ֹוד ֵא ֶלֽיך׃ )לב( ”,To stone, “You gave birth to me ֲה ִת ׁ ְש ַּכ֤ח ְּבתוּ ָל ֙ה ֶע ְד ֔יָ ּה ַּכ ָּ֖לה ִק ׁ ּ ֻש ֶ ֑רי ָה While to Me they turned their backs ְו ַע ִּ ֣מי ׁ ְש ֵכ ֔חוּ ִני יָ ִמ֖ים ֵ ֥אין ִמ ְס ּ ָפֽר׃ )לג( And not their faces. But in their hour ַמה־ ֵּתי ִט֥ ִבי ַד ְר ֵּ֖כ ְך ְל ַב ֵּ ֣ק ׁש ַא ֲה ָב֑ה ָל ֵכ ֙ן of calamity they cry, “Arise and save ַּג֣ם ֶאת־ ָה ָר ֔ע ֹות )למדתי( ] ִל ַּמ֖ ְד ְּת[ us!” (28) And where are those gods ְ ְ You made for yourself? Let them ֶאת־ ְ ּד ָר ָכֽ ִיך׃ )לד( ַּג֤ם ִּב ְכ ָנ ַפ֙ ִיך֙ ִנ ְמ ְצ ֔אוּ arise and save you, if they can, In ַּד֛ם ַנ ְפ ׁש֥ ֹות ֶא ְבי ֹו ִנ֖ים ְנ ִק ִּי֑ים your hour of calamity. For your gods לֹֽא־ ַב ַּמ ְח ֶּ ֥ת ֶרת ְמ ָצא ִ ֖תים ִּ֥כי have become, O Judah, As many as ַעל־ ׇּכל־ ֵאֽ ֶּלה׃ )לה( ַו ּ ֽתֹא ְמ ִר ֙י ִּ֣כי your towns! (29) Why do you call Me to account? You have all rebelled ִנ ֵּק֔י ִתי ַ ֛א ְך ׁ ָש֥ב ַא ּ ֖פ ֹו ִמ ֶּמ֑ ִּני ִה ְנ ִנ ֙י ִנ ׁ ְש ּ ָפ֣ט ְ ְ .against Me —declares the LORD א ֹו ָת֔ך ַעל־ ׇא ְמ ֵ ֖רך ֥לֹא ָח ָטֽא ִתי׃ )לו( To no purpose did I smite your (30) ַמה־ ֵּת ְז ִ ֥לי ְמאֹ֖ד ְל ׁ ַש ּנ֣ ֹות ֶאת־ ַּד ְר ֵּ֑כ ְך ַּג֤ם children; They would not accept ִמ ִּמ ְצ ַר֙ ִי ֙ם ֵּתבֹ֔ ׁ ִשי ַּכ ֲא ׁ ֶשר־ ּ֖בֹ ׁ ְש ְּת correction. Your sword has devoured ֵמ ַא ׁ ּשֽוּר׃ )לז( ַּג֣ם ֵמ ֵ ֥את ֶז ֙ה ֵּתֽ ְצ ִ ֔אי .your prophets Like a ravening lion (31) O generation, behold the word ְויָ ַד֖ ִי ְך ַעל־רֹא ׁ ֵ֑ש ְך ִּֽכי־ ָמ ַ ֤אס ְיהֹ ָו ֙ה ְ of the LORD! Have I been like a ְּב ִמ ְב ַט ַח֔ ִיך ְו ֥לֹא ַת ְצ ִ ֖לי ִחי ָל ֶהֽם׃ )א( desert to Israel, Or like a land of deep ֵלאמֹ֡ר ֵ֣הן ְי ׁ ַש ַּל֣ח ִא֣י ׁש ֶאת־ ִא ׁ ְש ּת ֹ֩ו ,gloom? Then why do My people say ְו ָה ְל ָ֨כה ֵמ ִא ּת֜ ֹו ְו ָה ְי ָ ֣תה ְל ִאי ׁש־ ַא ֵח֗ר We have broken loose, We will not“ ֲהיָ ׁש֤וּב ֵא ֶל֙י ָה֙ ֔ע ֹוד ֲה ֛ל ֹוא ָח ֥נ ֹוף ֶּת ֱח ַנ֖ף come to You any more?” (32) Can a ֣ ֑ ֗ ֙ ֣ ֔ maiden forget her jewels, A bride her ָה ָא ֶרץ ַה ִהיא ְו ַא ְּת ָז ִנית ֵר ִעים ַר ִּבים adornments? Yet My people have ְו ׁ ֥ש ֹוב ֵא ַל֖י ְנ ֻאם־ ְיהֹ ָוֽה׃ )ב( forgotten Me— Days without ְ ׂש ִאֽי־ ֵעי ַנ֨ ִי ְך ַעל־ ׁ ְש ָפ ִ֜ים וּ ְר ִא֗י ֵאיפֹ ֙ה לֹ֣א number. (33) How skillfully you plan your way To seek out love! Why, )שגלת( ] ׁ ֻש ַּ֔כ ְב ְּת[ ַעל־ ְ ּד ָר ִכי ֙ם יָ ׁ ַ ֣ש ְב ְּת you have even taught The worst of ָל ֶ֔הם ַּכ ֲע ָר ִב֖י ַּב ִּמ ְד ָּ֑בר ַו ַּת ֲח ִנ֣י ִפי ֶא֔ ֶרץ ,women your ways. (34) Moreover ֖ ְ ְ ּ ֣ ֔ on your garments is found The ִּב ְזנוּ ַת ִיך וּ ְב ָר ָע ֵתֽך׃ )ג( ַו ִי ָּמ ְנעוּ ְר ִב ִבים lifeblood of the innocent poor— You וּ ַמ ְל ֖ק ֹו ׁש ֣ל ֹוא ָהיָ֑ה וּ ֵמ֨ ַצח ִא ׁ ּ ָש֤ה ז ֹו ָנ ֙ה ,did not catch them breaking in. Yet ָה֣יָה ָל֔ ְך ֵמ ַ ֖א ְנ ְּת ִה ָּכ ֵלֽם׃ )ד( ֲה ֣ל ֹוא ,despite all these things, (35) You say ֵמ ַע֔ ָּתה )קראתי( ] ָק ָר֥את[ ִ ֖לי ָא ִ ֑בי I have been acquitted; Surely, His“ ַא ּל֥וּף ְנ ֻע ַ ֖רי ָאֽ ָּתה׃ ,anger has turned away from me.” Lo I will bring you to judgment For saying, “I have not sinned.” (36) How you cheapen yourself, By changing your course! You shall be put to shame through Egypt, Just as you were put to shame through Assyria. (37) From this way, too, you will come out With your hands on your head; For the LORD has rejected those you trust, You will not prosper with them. (1) [The word of the LORD came to me] as follows: If a man divorces his wife, and she leaves him and marries another man, can he ever go back to her? Would not such a land be defiled? Now you have whored with many lovers: can you return to Me?—says the LORD. (2) Look up to the bare heights, and see: Where have they not lain with you? You waited for them on the roadside Like a bandit in the wilderness. And you defiled the land With your whoring and your debauchery. (3) And when showers were withheld And the late rains did not come, You had the brazenness of a street woman, You refused to be ashamed. (4) Just now you called to Me, “Father! You are the Companion of my youth.
