    DOBBER’S 2010-11 FANTASY GUIDE DOBBERHOCKEY.COM – HOME OF THE TOP 300 FANTASY PLAYERS I think we’re at the point in the fantasy hockey universe where DobberHockey.com is either known in a fantasy league, or the GM’s are sleeping. Besides my column in The Hockey News’ Ultimate Pool Guide, and my contributions to this year’s Score Forecaster (fifth year doing each), I put an ad in McKeen’s. That covers the big three hockey pool magazines and you should have at least one of them as part of your draft prep. The other thing you need, of course, is this Guide right here. It is not only updated throughout the summer, but I also make sure that the features/tidbits found in here are unique. I know what’s in the print mags and I have always tried to set this Guide apart from them. Once again, this is an automatic download – just pick it up in your downloads section. Look for one or two updates in August, then one or two updates between September 1st and 14th. After that, when training camp is in full swing, I will be updating every two or three days right into October. Make sure you download the latest prior to heading into your draft (and don’t ask me on one day if I’ll be updating the next day – I get so many of those that I am unable to answer them all, just download as late as you can). Any updates beyond this original release will be in bold blue.

    Buffalo Sabres Daily Press Clips April 15, 2021 Sabres’ Eichel ruled out for rest of season with neck injury By Stephen Whyno Associated Press April 14, 2021 Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel won’t play the rest of the season because of a neck injury. The team said Wednesday that Eichel has a herniated disk and is expected to be healthy for the start of next season. The 24-year-old center hasn’t played since March 7. “He (was) playing through it,” interim coach Don Granato said after practice. “It’s not something you want exposed, obviously, because it’s such a competitive environment, so that’s information you don’t want the opponents to have, obviously, for his safety. It’s a bummer.” Granato said he didn’t know if Eichel would need surgery, adding, “You hope for him to feel better every day and improve every day.” Eichel had 18 points in 21 games before coming out of Buffalo’s lineup. The 2015 No. 2 pick and face of the beleaguered franchise is three seasons into an $80 million, eight-year contract that runs until 2026. The Sabres have lost 32 of 42 games this season and are in last place in the NHL. They’ve started to turn things around since Granato took over for fired coach Ralph Krueger and are 4-2-2 in their past eight games. General manager Kevyn Adams hinted at a long-term absence for Eichel on Monday, saying “it does look like he’s still going to be out for a while.” “I think part of this for Jack has been to make sure that the reason he’s not playing is because he’s not healthy enough to play,” Adams said.

What began as an ambitious idea to build and brand a hockey league from the ground up has turned into one of the most sought-after fantasy leagues on the web. In 2008, we began a design-by-democracy process of creating a league from scratch on the Icethetics blog. Readers voted on every aspect from deciding which cities would get teams to what names logos each should use. Two years after the project began, 20 fans breathed life into the league by taking part in our inaugural fantasy hockey season. As we begin our second year, I thought it appropriate to take a look back at how we got where we are and what happened during that inaugural season. When the Wolves head to LAST MEETING April 7, 2021 Rockford tonight for their eighth meeting of the year with the IceHogs, they’ll be without their top two scorers due to recent recalls that were sparked by significant streaks. Forward Tanner Jeannot scored goals in eight straight AHL appearances from Feb. 21 to April 7, including four goals against the IceHogs. Jeannot also owns a 12-game point streak that remains 7-13-1-0 15-4-0-1 active. But before he could put either of those streaks on the line again, Jeannot and his 10 goals and 11 assists were recalled by the NHL’s Nashville Predators on Sunday.
