The petitioner’s case is that in view of the pandemic which resulted in a lockdown being imposed in March, 2020, the Health Department started taking steps to prepare for the fight against Covid-19 infections. In this regard, the Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, Health Department issued an Order No. D.33012/41/2020-HFW(ETCL)/90 dated 14.06.2020 stating that the competent authority was pleased to detail a team of experts to visit Lunglei, to explore the feasibility for establishment of a make-shift Covid-19 RT-PCR diagnostic laboratory at Civil Hospital, Lunglei, to cater to the needs of the 4 districts of south Mizoram and to fulfil the indication made to that effect by the Minister, Health & Family Welfare Deptt., during early March, 2020.

When we went to take the exam, my brother had a C-Certificate of NCC, that is why he did not have to give his written examination and I had to give the exam. When the results came, there was no Mara name in that list, but my brother's name was, My brother got a job in the Indian Army. Then I thought I would also join NCC. Then I reported in which college NCC is very good in our district. I got 4th Assam BN NCC at Karimganj in Karimganj College. Then I first joined the college, and to join the NCC, I approached the unit and told them to talk to the college's ANO. Then I saw the NCC enrollment notice in the college notic board and I contacted them and filed the form for joining NCC.He gave me the date of NCC selection 5th August 2018 I was very pleased.

Primary education in the state will suffer a lot during the above period. Different curricular and co-curricular activities was also not organized in the schools as a result student may face many problems. Task forces are being set up in all localities and villages across Mizoram under the aegis of the Young Mizo Association (YMA). Due to the immense popularity of YMA in Mizo society, the government has urged the organization to work with it to ensure smooth implementation of the lockdown and ensure supplies to households and look after the education system of their locality. This paper will highlight about the status of primary education, the problems faced by the teachers and students during lockdown period and the role of local level task force during the above period. The researcher used qualitative methodologies for the above study. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study. Interview with stake holders like teachers, Parents and local Taskforce members was done to collect the data. The study found that majority of the teachers and students faced problems like no internet connection, availability of smart phone and teachers are not trained to implement online education for transacting the lesson during COVID-19 period.

Lalthangliana today confirmed the presence of a COVID-19 positive case at a Press Conference at the Secretariat Conference Hall, MINECO. The COVID-19 positive patient is a male aged 50 years who reached Mizoram on 16th March 2020 from Amsterdam(Netherlands). He flew via Doha, Qatar then on to New Delhi and Guwahati on his way to Aizawl by air again. While in Amsterdam, taking a precautionary stand, he spoke to a doctor friend of his, who then sent him the quarantine guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and the other precautionary literature. On his way back from Amsterdam he followed all precautionary measures strictly. He started his travel from Amsterdam on 15th March and reached Delhi the same day and stayed overnight. On 16th March, he boarded Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi to Guwahati, thereafter; he took Go Air flight from Guwahati to Lengpui Airport and reached home the same day. The COVID-19 Testing Guidelines issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare which was operational then specified that swab samples of people only exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 should be taken. Till then, he had not shown any symptoms of the pandemic. On 18th March, he started having fever which continued till the 20th March.
