Note No. D(D&IT)/D/AECA/eh/37712020 dated L310712020 of the Director (Distribution, lT & HRM) to the FullTime Directors (Agenda ltem No. 3Ol7l20) ORDER The Chief Engineer (Distribution North Malabar), Kannur as per letter read as f' above has reported that the monthly km limit of 1,750 km of the hired vehicle fieep) attached to the Electrical Section, Cherupuzha under Electrical Circle, Sreekandapuram is not sufficient to attend all the works properly. The Section is having a consumer strength of more than 13,000 and it spreads over an area of 90 sqkm. This is one of the most remote Sections under Electrical Division, Payyannur and is having 74 km and 445 km of HT and LT lines respectively. The area under the Section is remote, hilly and thickly vegetated. The power interruption in the area is very high due to the prolonged rainy season. Falling of trees to power lines is a common phenomenon. The distance to be traveled for attending interruption at Thirunettikalu is about 60 km. Many of the HT/LT lines passes through the thickly vegetated area resulting in frequent interruptions. lt is reported that with the existing monthly ceiling, the staff of the Section are struggling to redress the complaints on time. The Assistant Executive Engineer, Electrical Sub Division, Vellur also expressed the difficulty to attend all the works and requested to enhance the monthly km limit of the vehicle. Considering these difficulties, the Deputy Chief Engineer, Electrical Circle, Sreekandapuram requested sanction to enhance the monthly running limit of the vehicle attached to the Electrical Section, Cherupuzha to 2,250 km. In the above circumstances, the Chief Engineer (Distribution North Malabar), Kannur requested sanction to enhance the monthly ceiling of vehicle attached to the Electrical Section, Cherupuzha from l-,750 km to 2,250 km, considering the wide geographical area and hilly terrain of the Section. The matter was placed before the Full Time Directors as per note read as Zd above. Having considered the matter in detail, the Full Time Directors in the meeting held on L410712020, resolved to accord sanction to enhance the monthly km limit of the hired vehicle 0eep) attached to the Electrical Section, Cherupuzha under Elecuical Circle, Sreekandapuram from L,750 km to 2,000 km.
