Since the 1976-77 1982-83 Metro 2-3 season, Virginia Tech has posted a 193-187 record in conference games, 121-70 1983-84 Metro 4-6 at home, 72-117 on the road and 0-1 at a neutral site. In the last 12 years, Tech has played before 587,642 fans at Cassell Coliseum, celebrating its 50th Anniversary, has always proven home, an average of 3,093 per game. Last season, the Hokies averaged to be a tough arena for women’s basketball opponents, especially over 2,381 for 17 home contests, which ranked 62nd in the nation. the past 13+ seasons in which the Hokies are 155-50 (.756) at home. Cassell Coliseum was the site of a sub-regional in the 1999 NCAA Overall, the program has posted a 325-135 (.706) home record since Tournament. International Success The Hokies have played outside the United States seven times in the history of the program. Tech won two of three games in the 1994 San Juan Shootout in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tech won all four games in the summer of 2000 during an 11-day tour in Europe. The Hokies swept two games in 2003 to win the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands and picked up five wins in the summer of 2004 during a 12-day tour of Australia. Tech also swept two games at the 2006 Caribbean Classic in Cancun, Mexico and split two contests at the 2007 Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas. The Hokies were 1-2 on their last foreign excursion in May 2008 during a tour of Greece and Italy. Tech is 16-4 all-time on foreign soil and the Hokies return to Cancun, Mexico this season for the Caribbean Classic.
