Annika Beck is off the mark: the Porsche Team Germany player won the Luxembourg Open and at the same time celebrated her first career WTA title. In Saturday’s final, the 20-year old was an easy 6-2, 6-1 victor against the Czech Bar- bora Zahlavova Strycova. Last year saw Annika Beck lose the final of the 250,000 dollar indoor tournament in the Grand Duchy. However this time around against Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, the 2012 French Open junior champion converted her first match point after one hour 33 minutes to record her first ever win on the WTA-Tour. It was the fifth WTA title this year for a Porsche Team Germany player – the previous winners were Andrea Petkovic in Charleston and Nuremberg, Mona Barthel in Bastad und Sabine Lisicki in Hong Kong. Representing the Porsche Talent Team Germany, Anna-Lena Friedsam won her first WTA tournament when triumphing in Suzhou, China in September. Der 21 Jahre alte Wolkensteiner unterlag im Kampf um den Einzug in das Hauptfeld bei dem mit 64.000 Euro dotierten größten Tennisturnier in Südtirol dem Italiener Matteo Viola in 54 Minuten mit 2:6, 1:6. Viola, der in Gröden im Jahre 2012 im Halbfinale stand und aktuell auf Platz 281 der Weltrangliste liegt, war zu stark für Tröbinger, der im gesamten Match siebenmal seinen Aufschlag abgab und nur ein einziges Mal sein Service halten konnte. Viola ist der siebte Spieler aus Italien, der damit im Hauptfeld dabei ist, In der ersten Runde trifft er auf den Franzosen Tristan Lamasine. Neben Viola haben sich drei Spieler aus Deutschland für das Hauptfeld qualifiziert. Marc Sieber gewann gegen Edan Leshem aus Israel mit 6:3, 6:4.     ICTennis Club Information ICTennis Club is locally based organization out of Wichita, Kansas. We provide quality tennis training, coaching and programming for juniors and adults. Our goal is to create a safe and fun tennis environment through lessons and clinics for every age and ability. We have a team of enthusiastic and successful tennis professionals whose goal is to improve your tennis game while having fun in the process. We will make sure to promote all the hard work necessary to reach your tennis, fitness and health goals. While at WSU, Ilija played at the top of the line up in singles and doubles his whole career and was a team captain his senior year. He was a three-time team MVC all conference player as well as a two-time MVC champion. Some of his accomplishments as a junior tennis player in Croatia include being a five-time national champion, member of the National team and being ranked TOP100 juniors in the world. While playing for the national team, he won the bronze medal in the European Championship in Villagarcia, Spain. Playing professionally, Ilija competed against several TOP10 players such as Milos Raonic, Grigor Dimitrov, Marin Cilic and Ryan Harrison.
