Sophomore midfielder Danielle Vassallo (Hicksville, N.Y) scored a team-high three goals, while sophomore midfielders Madyson Schwartz (Philadelphia, Pa.) split her three points between a pair of goals and an assist. After an opening Neuman University (1-0) goal, three consecutive Scarlet and Gold scores from Schwartz (1-1, 26:11, Unassisted), Vassallo (2-1, 24:21, Free Position), and senior midfielder Gab Fanfarillo (Glassboro, N.J.) Unfortunately, the Knights finished the period with a 5-1 run to give themselves a narrow 6-4 halftime edge. In the second half, Neumann University was able to increase their lead while keeping the Griffins at bay. A 3-1 Knight run left the visitors up 9-5 (16:02) midway through the closing frame and even though Chestnut Hill College outshot the Knights 17-14 in the second half, they were not able rally on junior goalkeeper Catriona Corrigan (Aldan, Pa.).
