A little ambitious? Yes. But we believe that change in this world starts by creating a small movement of passionate people with a common goal. Checking For Charity was founded by a tight knit group of hockey players with a shared love for the game and a desire to make the world a better place. Since the beginning, Checking For Charity has been committed to not only raising as much money as possible for charity but also to putting on the most competitive and professional tournaments and events. Each team that enters a Checking For Charity tournament will select a charity to represent. All proceeds from team entry fees, donations, corporate sponsors, merchandise sales, raffles, our Beef & Beer event, and other fundraising activities are placed into one pot. Each team is guaranteed a percentage of that pot by participating in the tournament. Each team has the opportunity to increase that percentage based on how they place in tournament play. Our unique hockey centric approach to raise money and awareness for the various charities represented at our tournaments has inspired more and more people to become a part of the Checking For Charity movement. Whether you are a player, volunteer, a sponsor, even just a fan, we want you to join our team! 8 | Checking for Charity 2017 FOR CHECKING Charity has raised over $355,300 for approximately 110 different charities in the community 9 | Checking for Charity 2017 the man behind cfc MATT BADER is the Founder and President of Checking For Charity Corporation.
