WELCOME FROM PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS

On behalf of PGA TOUR Champions, it’s a pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 American Family Insurance Championship. We are thrilled to once again bring some of golf’s most accomplished players to Wisconsin for a memorable week, both on and off the golf course. Entering its fifth year, the American Family Insurance Championship is a two-time winner of the Tour’s highest honor, the President’s Award, for its outstanding achievement in several areas including charitable giving, sales, attendance and economic impact. The stop in Madison is always a favorite amongst PGA TOUR Champions players, annually attracting one of the strongest fields of the year. The 2020-21 combined season on PGA TOUR Champions includes 40 total tournaments – 15 events from 2020 and 25 in 2021. Following a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Madison native returns to defend his title after defeating tournament host and World Golf Hall of Fame member in a three-hole playoff to win the 2019 American Family Insurance Championship. Charitable giving is at the heart of every tournament on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and . I’m proud of the tournament’s host organization, the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation, for giving back over $10.2 million dollars to more than 400 organizations in the local community. On behalf of PGA TOUR Champions, I’d like to thank the many volunteers, media and fans that help make this tournament a true success each year. We value our partnership with American Family Insurance and appreciate their commitment to both PGA TOUR Champions and the greater Madison community. We hope you enjoy a great week.

Sincerely,

VERONA HOLE 4 | 396 YARDS 1

The first hole is a straightaway, medium-length par 4 that plays from the high point of the property and looks out over neighboring Verona. A two-tiered green with a hidden creek behind makes the short- or middle-iron approach the right choice.

ZIGZAG HOLE PAR 5 | 555 YARDS 2

The second hole is a risk/ reward par 5 with a number of options off the tee. A split fairway bisected by a large oak tree near the green forces players to select their angle of attack. The shallow green sits on the edge of a wooded ravine and slopes from back to front.

THE COURSE

FLOODPLAIN HOLE PAR 3 | 195 YARDS 3

The third hole is a long, downhill par 3 to a wide, shallow green. A wide bunker guards the front of the green, which features a narrow peninsula on the left- hand side that makes club selection critical.

MORSE POND HOLE PAR 4 | 444 YARDS 4

The fourth hole is a long, uphill par 4 framed by Morse Pond on the right and a hedgerow on the left. The back tee plays across the pond to a fairway that slopes toward the pond. The green is perched above deep bunkers right and a fairway hollow left. ON WISCO ONSIN THE COURSE

NOER’S VIEW HOLE PAR 3 | 198 YARDS 5

The fifth hole is a medium- length par 3 that plays from an elevated tee across a deep ravine, looking out over the O.J. Noer Turfgrass Facility. The green is guarded by bunkers short left and short right.

KETTLE POND HOLE PAR 5 | 608 YARDS 6

At 608 yards, the sixth hole is the longest on the course. This par 5 moves gently from right to left to a well-guarded green out on a point. The second shot requires players to decide whether to challenge a pinch in the fairway.

THE COURSE

DRUMLIN HOLE PAR 4 | 429 YARDS 7

The seventh hole is a medium- length par 4 that works from right to left. The green sits at the base of a large glacial drumlin. The approach is partially blind to this tricky green that is flanked by five bunkers on the right side.

ON THE ROCKS HOLE PAR 3 | 207 YARDS 8

The eigth hole is a medium- length, downhill par 3. The green is flanked by large oak trees right and left, a rocky creek in front and a strong hillside behind. The green slopes sharply from back to front. Am Fam ad .pdf A

HEDGEROW HOLE PAR 5 | 554 YARDS 9

The ninth hole is a medium- length, dogleg-left par 5. The tee shot is played through a narrow chute of trees to a fairway with a grove of trees left and bunkers right. From there the hole turns sharply to the left and then climbs to a green set into a wooded hill- side beneath the clubhouse.

ELM VALLEY HOLE PAR 4 | 456 YARDS 10

Unlike the front nine, the back begins a journey through the hardwood forest. The long par-4 10th hole turns gently from right to left to a deep two-tiered green. Your generosity. A child’s tenacity.

RIDGELINE HOLE PAR 5 | 537 YARDS 11

The 11th hole is a par 5 that sweeps from left to right. Two deep bunkers guard the right side of the fairway off the tee. The second shot is pinched by a large oak on the right and bunkers left. The narrow, deep green has bunkers left and long as well as ticklish rough to the right.

DROPSHOT HOLE PAR 3 | 200 YARDS 12

The 12th hole is a medium- length, downhill par 3 to a tight green. Bunkers flank both sides of this skinny green. YOUR ONE-STOP GOLF OUTING SHOP

HALF PIPE HOLE PAR 4 | 336 YARDS 13

The short par-4 13th plays straight uphill in a tree-lined valley. One large bunker protects the left side of the fairway. The green sits at the top of the valley and wraps around a deep bunker that guards the front left.

HICKORY HILL HOLE PAR 4 | 398 YARDS 14

The 14th hole is a medium- length par 4 that plays up and over a gentle rise. The tee shot is flanked by three bunkers left and right. The green is open at the front, but well-bunkered to the right and left.

THE COURSE

LONE ELM HOLE PAR 4 | 352 YARDS 15

The 15th hole is a driveable par 4 with several options off the tee. The hole moves from left to right and falls downhill. A large elm tree frames the right side of the landing area forcing players to lay back or challenge the tree. The back-to-front sloping green is surrounded by bunkers and rough hollows.

BUNKERED HOLE PAR 5 | 554 YARDS 16

The 16th hole is a reachable par 5 distinguished by the 16 bunkers that come into play. The downhill tee shot is played through the woods to a split fairway bisected by large cottonwoods. Once out in the open, the second shot is highlighted by the bunkers and a lone tree on a hill. Entrances to the green can be found at the far left and far right. REFLECTIONS HOLE PAR 3 | 192 YARDS 17

The 17th is a long par 3 over a pond. Several tee boxes offer a wide variety of lengths and angles. The deep, skinny green is protected by the pond front, bunker right and hillside left.

CAPITOL CLIMB HOLE PAR 4 | 413 YARDS 18

The 18th hole is a medium- length, dogleg-left par 4 that plays sharply uphill. It sits on the highest point of the property. Three bunkers guard the left side of the fairway forcing players to choose their line off the tee. The deep green is guarded by a front-right bunker and features a large ridge in the middle. Welcome to the 2021 American Family Insurance Championship! After a year away, we’re excited for the return of PGA TOUR Champions golf to Wisconsin. We’re committed to an event that is above all safe, but also fun and meaningful – as we come together to raise funds that support our communities. Since our 2016 debut, the American Family Insurance Championship has raised $10.2 million for the American Family Children’s Hospital and issued more than 400 grants to various nonprofits. When the pandemic canceled last year’s event, we reallocated our sponsorship investment, along with funds from the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation, to donate more than $3 million directly to charities, including those providing COVID-19 relief. We’re inspired to continue those efforts for our communities, while also bringing back as many features of our event as possible. This year’s championship will be slightly different, but just as special – and we hope just as memorable – for everyone. Here’s a look at what to expect during tournament week: • Our dedicated tournament team and hundreds of volunteers will ensure the best fan experience possible. • The gorgeous but challenging University Ridge Golf Course will showcase the best competitors on the PGA TOUR Champions. • A maximum attendance of 7,500 per day and safety protocols follow local, state and PGA TOUR guidelines, while allowing vaccinated fans to watch play without wearing facial coverings if they desire. • Fans are also encouraged to bring chairs and sit in ways that help ensure physical distancing throughout all 18 holes, as public bleacher seating will not be available. • Concessions services will be available at various locations throughout the golf course. • Everyone can participate in a virtual version of the UW Carbone Cancer Center Race for Research. This year, participants can enter Race for Research virtual challenges from June 5-19, while fund-raising for their cancer research of choice. The American Family Insurance Championship doesn’t happen without the generous support of our sponsors and partners, with fan attendance ranking among the highest on tour. We look forward to another incredible week, raising additional funds to help children and families across the region. Thank you for coming out. Enjoy the AmFam Champ!
