Gibson Stepping Up JT Gibson put together a career scoring effort vs. Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 11), finishing with 26 on 10-of-13 shooting for the night after opening with 19 points in the first half. He is the only Maverick to hit double figures in all five games this season. As a junior, Gibson scored in double figures in all but seven games last season and had an 11-game streak from Dec. 21 to Feb. 7. He scored 15 or more points in a night on 10 occasions. Gibson has scored in 69 straight contests and is Omaha's active career leader for scoring, field goals made, 3-pointers made, assists, steals, games played and minutes played.

JT for Three JT Gibson has at least two 3-pointers in all five games to start the season, including a trio in each of the last four straight. Last season, Gibson hit a three in each of the first 27 games, though his streak came to an end Feb. 28 at Oral Roberts.
