He also told me that he volunteered at a hospital in the United States who came to the Dominican Republic every year to evaluate kids with orthopaedic problems like me. He was referring to the amazing Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield, Massachusetts. When I arrived at Shriners Hospital, I received nothing but exceptional loving care from everyone. From the volunteer drivers and the person in charge of the front desk to the amazing hospital nurses and doctors, all treated me with the upmost respect, love and care anyone could ever wish for. After my surgery in 2011, I stayed in the hospital for 6 days. My amazing, loving and caring nurses, Chris, Cindy, Carol and Rene, made sure that I felt as comfortable as possible at all times. When I returned to the hospital three years later for my second surgery, the care was as exceptional as I had remembered. Everyone remembered me as if I was there the day before. I truly have the most wonderful memories from this entire experience. I graduated in the fall of 2016, and I am a civil engineer. I also teach English as a second language at a school in the Dominican Republic. These cars will be used in parades and demonstrations to help raise money for our temple and our children at our children’s hospitals. People need to own their own car and or have one donated to them or to the temple to use. Once there is deemed that there is enough people interested in forming a unit we will reply via email, text or phone (email is preferred, but not necessary) to setup a meeting. Once the unit gets formed we will then work on the by-laws of the unit. Please respond with your name, email and phone number so that we may contact you if there is enough people interested in creating a unit. Please add Kora ATV to the subject line so I know what it’s all about.

The Kora Brewers - Taproom No. 11 is a new club in Kora Temple. The purpose of Kora Brewers is to support Kora Shriners and promote the good of Shrinedom and Brotherhood in general. Kora Brewers exists as a means for members to explore their hobby of home brewing through the promotion and education of brewing beer / wine making / distilling / and other related activities and to increase the awareness of the quality and variety of homemade beverages (either non-alcoholic or alcoholic). Our membership is made up of those who home brewer and also those who just like to enjoy fine beverages, but more importantly we like to have fun and fellowship while supporting Kora and our Hospitals. Our annual meeting is held in April and we host a monthly “outing” and also sponsor club fundraisers. Annual dues are $15 per year and applications are available.
