Rtn Dr Raveendranath Nayak DISTRICT GOVERNOR RTN RAJARAM BHAT INSTALLATION

District Governor Rtn Rajaram Bhat was installed by IPDG Rtn B N Ramesh at Hotel Ashraya on July 1, 2020. Rtn Bhat took charge as the fifth governor of Rotary International district 3182. Dr H Vinod Bhat, Executive Vice President, MAHE, Manipal was the chief guest.

Sharing his experience as the immediate former district governor of the club Rtn B N Ramesh said, “It was a tremendous year. But as the pandemic hit, it gave us new challenges. We started working more virtually. I had an excellent team of office bearers who supported me in delivering the services. We conducted virtual training sessions which were a new concept. All the clubs have done excellent work. I thank each and every Rotarian for their service. In the coming days, we also have to increase membership.”

Installation of the 2020-21 Office-bearers of the Rotary Club Manipal Town

The Installation Ceremony was held on the Wednesday, 15th July, 2020 at 5:30 P.M. in virtual mode in Google Meet. The Installation Officer was Rtn MPHF Dr Gauri, District Governor 2022-23. Invocation was rendered melodiously by Rtn Dr Bharath Raj Guru. President (2019-20) Rtn PHF Dr Sreedhar D welcomed the gathering. He reminisced his rewarding presidency, thanking those who guided and supported him. Secretary (2019- 20) Rtn PHF Jyothi R Nayak presented the Annual Report, highlighting the remarkable achievements of their Team. The budget meeting was conducted on Thursday, 4th June, 2020 at Hangyo CTF, Manipal, which is a restaurant owned by our Member Rtn Gopal Ganiga. In this meeting, the budget for the Rotary Year 2020-21 was discussed and finalized. The meeting was attended by the Charter President and Assistant Governor Rtn Dr Sesappa A Rai, President (2019-20) Rtn Dr Sreedhar D, President Elect (2020-21) Dr Raveendranath Nayak and Treasurer Elect Rtn Gopal Ganiga. The meeting was followed by lunch hosted by Rtn Gopal Ganiga.

Weekly meeting - 24th June

The weekly meeting of RCMT was held on 24th June at Sri Narasimha Temple RIDN Rtn AS Venkatesh Hall, Narasinge, Manipal. President Rtn Dr Sreedhar D (2019-20) delivered his address to the gathering. Rtn Nithyananda Nayak was honored for hosting the weekly meeting of RCMT and dinner by President Elect Rtn Dr Raveendranath Nayak.

The first weekly meeting of RCMT was held on the Wednesday 1st July, 2020 at Hotel Ashlesh, Manipal.

The meeting was presided by Rtn PHF Dr Sreedhar D, Immediate Past President of the Club. Master of ceremony was Rtn Dr Raveendranath Nayak, President. The President was collared by the Sargent-at-Arms Rtn Dr Praveen Hoogar. It was followed by singing the National Anthem in unison. Rtn Dr Raveendranath Nayak welcomed the gathering. Rtn Nithyanand Nayak was recognized for hosting the Joint Directors' Meeting. The Rotarians and their family members were recognized for planting the saplings on July 1st as part of “Green India, Clean India” drive. The photos show the joy and excitement of our Rotarians and their families in planting saplings. The rain didn't deter them to head to their gardens with picks and shovels. The Rotarians who participated in planting are asked to send us photos of the plants taken after 10 months. We'd give

each of them gifts and certificate of appreciation for growing them as healthy and blooming plants. The Rotary Club Manipal Town remains grateful to our Assistant Governor Rtn Anand Udyavar who has been kind to donate the 10 saplings.
