Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street- Walk of Fame Additional Name in Terrazzo Sidewalk ­ CHRIS O'DONNELL

RECOMMENDATIONS:

A. That the City Council designate the unnumbered location situated one sidewalk square northerly of and between numbered locations 26H and 26h as shown on Sheet # 16 of Plan D-13 788 for the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the installation of the name of Chris O'Donnell at 6681 Hollywood Boulevard.

B. Inform the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce ofthe Council's action on this matter.

C. That this report be adopted prior to the date of the ceremony on March 5, 2015.

FISCAL IMP ACT STATEMENT:

No General Fund Impact. All cost paid by permittee.

1. Unnumbered communication dated February 3, 2015, from the Hollywood Historic Trust of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, biographical information and excerpts from the minutes of the Chamber's meeting with recommendations. City Council - 2- C. D. No. 13

DISCUSSION:

The Walk of Fame Committee ofthe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has submitted a request for insertion into the Hollywood Walk of Fame the name of Chris O'Donnell. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.

The communicant's request is in accordance with City Council action of October 18, 1978, under Council File No. 78-3949. Following the Council's action of approval, and upon proper application and payment of the required fee, an installation permit can be secured at 201 N. Figueroa Street, 3rd Floor, Counter 23.

The Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has approved the below listed name for insertion into the Hollywood Walk of Fame:

CHRIS O'DONNELL-(Category -TELEVISION). Requested star location to be 6681 Hollywood Blvd., North side of the street in front of JAMESON'S IRISH PUB. The star for CHRIS O'DONNELL will be placed in the second row next to the original row closest to the property. The stars situated in the original row where star is situated are GENE LOCKHART (26H) to the WEST and GEORGE TAKEI (26h) to the east. According to sheet# 16 plan 13788, CHRIS O'DONNEll'S star is next to two blank stars to the east and west of his proposed star spot. The second row spots have no designated numbers. STAR TO POINT EAST. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.

Chris O'Donnell

Chris O'Donnell's charm and diverse acting skills have allowed him to become one of Hollywood's leading male actors. O'Donnell currently stars as G. Callen in CBS' hit drama, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, which is in its sixth season.

O'Donnell made his motion picture debut with a critically acclaimed performance as Jessica Lange's rebellious son in the Paul Brickman feature, MEN DON'T LEAVE, followed by a memorable cameo in Jon Avnets Academy Award nominated FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. In 1993, 0' Donnell was nominated for a Golden Globe and won the Chicago Film Critics Award for his role opposite AI Pacino in the multiple Academy Award winning, SCENT OF A WOMAN, directed by Marty Brest. He then played swashbuckling D' Artagan in THE THREE MUSKETEERS, for which he was named the NATO/ShoWest Male Star ofTomorrow in 1994. 0' Donnell adopted an Irish dialect to star In the romantic comedy, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, and won over audiences worldwide with his stand-out performance as Robin in the highest grossing film of 1995, BATMAN FOREVER.

He went on to star in the dark legal thriller, THE CHAMBER, and Lord Richard Attenborough's period romance, IN LOVE AND WAR, before reprising his role as the daredevil acrobat and fledging super-hero in the 1997 hit, BATMAN AND ROBIN. In 1999, 0' Donnell co-starred in Robert Altman's critically-acclaimed comedy COOKIES FORTUNE as part of an impressive ensemble cast including Glenn Close, Julianne Moore and Liv Tyler.

O'Donnell's other film credits include the action-thriller VERTICAL LIMIT, the romantic comedy THE BACHELOR, KINSEY, Twentieth Century Fox's MAX PAYNE, New Line's KITT KITTRIDGE: AN AMERICAN GIRL, Warner Bros' animated CATS AND DOGS and the independent film A LITTLE HELP.

O'Donnell's TV credits include the TNT Miniseries, THE COMPANY, and the hit series GREY'S ANATOMY.

In 2002, O'Donnell made his Broadway stage debut In Arthur Miller's play ''The Man Who Had All the Luck" opposite Samantha Mathis.

O'Donnell resides in Los Angeles with his wife and five children .

Schultz announced the 2015 Walk of Fame honoree recommendation submitted by the Walk of Fame Committee.
