This proved to be the most successful sports meeting since the present headmaster, (Mr. A. Pringle), came to take over the Jacksdale headship in 1937. The weather was ideal for the occasion, and Mr. Pringle, in his opening remarks said he was delighted to see such a large number of people showing interest in the school and children, and he extended an invitation to them to join their Parent-Teacher Association. The success of the school, he said, was due to the co-operation of the parents and teachers, also to the influence of the churches and chapels in the neighbourhood.
