PAGE 4 HERSHEY NEWS April 22, 1954 Bears Wrote Chapters In Annals Of Hockey The 1953-54 Hershey Bears, although eliminated by the Cleveland Barons in the final Calder Cup series, brought more fame and recognition to the ChocolatetoNn in the hockey record books. Coach Murray Henderson's scrappy aggregation was the sixth Hershey club in the his- tory of the American Hockey League to reach the Calder finals. The only Bear team to win the coveted trophy was D o n Penniston's 1946 - 47 skaters.
