Subject:- Appointment of Charge Officer under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana and validation of identified Gram panchayats. Sir/Madam, Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) has been launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 1 lth October, 2014 and as per the timelines of the project, the identification of Gram panchayat was to be finalised by lion'ble Members of parliament by I I th November 2014. Now as part of the implementation of the project, various activities like participatory situational analysis, preparation of Village Development Plan and coordination at local level need to be undertaken intensively. As per the guidelines Para 12 (d), the District Collector will have to appoint a competent Charge Officer of sufficient seniority, for every Gram Panchayat who will coordinate the implementation at the local level and will be fully responsible and accountable for the implementation. Therefore, you are requested to kindly expedite the appointment of Charge Officer as per the SAGY guidelines and update the details in the website of SAGY viz. http://www.saanjhi.gov.in at the Collector /DM level. Further, names of the identified Gram Panchayats by the Hon'ble Members of Parliament are available in the website, The correct name and other details of the Gram Panchayats as identified by the MPs may be got done by Collector/ DM of the district concerned. You are requested to get the final list, as displayed now in the website www.saanjhi.gov.in , validated by respective Collectors of your State /UT and forward the consolidated list via email to pmusaarijhi(a.gov.in. All the discrepancies noticed in the identification may be resolved and corrected before forwarding final list. As the matter is time bound, you are requested to do the needful as above within 3 days of the receipt of this letter. Shri Narsingh Narain Pandey was a Member of the 5th Lok Sabha representing the Gorakhpur Parliamentary Constituency of Uttar Pradesh. He was also a Member of the Rajya Sabha from 1980 to 1982. He was a Member of the Committee on Absence of Members from Sittings of the House. Earlier, Shri Pandey was a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1962 to 1967. Shri Narsingh Narain Pandey passed away on 8 January, 2018 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh at the age of 88. Shri Raghunath Jha was a Member of the 13th and 14th Lok Sabhas representing the Gopalganj and Bettiah Parliamentary Constituencies of Bihar. Shri Jha was Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises from April, 2008 to May, 2009. He was a Member of the Committee on Agriculture; Committee on Ethics; Committee on Home Affairs Railway Convention Committee; House Committee and also the Public Accounts Committee. Shri Jha was a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1972 to 1998. He also served as Minister in the Government of Bihar. Shri Raghunath Jha passed away on 15 January, 2018 in New Delhi at the age of 78. We deeply mourn the loss of our two former colleagues. I am sure the House would join me in conveying our condolences to the bereaved families.
