MCHENRY COUNTY GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION TUESDAY, MARCH 20, 2018 HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OFFICIAL VOTER INFORMATION GUIDE HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day Mary E. McClellan McHenry County Clerk www.co.mchenry.il.us/countyclerk 1 H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H H Letter from the County Office of the Mary E. McClellan McHenry County Clerk County Clerk Clerk Over the last couple of years we have had requests from school districts to find new polling places for the safety of the children. We have also had private entities requesting removal of polling places from their facilities for their own reasons. The private entities we have no control over and no statutory requirement to mandate a polling location at their facilities. That being said, in an effort to create efficiencies and respect the wishes of those requesting to be removed, we have been working on consolidation of our polling places. By working together using current polling places that have large enough spaces and adequate parking for at least two, if not more precincts at one location, we have been able to change 38 locations. We will be conducting a pilot program for March 20, 2018 Primary Election. I have enjoyed fulfilling the responsibility that my constituents have placed in me. I have made many upgrades to the election process to save tax payers money, and automated the office to better serve McHenry County and all who live here. Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] with any questions. I appreciate being your County Clerk, because it’s my job to make the process easier for the community. Mary E.
