Virtual Riot Presents Killer 6-Track EP. 2018 is only a month in and Virtual Riot as always has kept up the consistency with two other single releases earlier this month, now the German bass powerhouse presents ‘German Engineering’, a 6 track EP filled all sorts of tunes on different sides of the spectrum of bass music. Virtual Riot is a producer with quite the diverse palette for sounds and styles, instead of letting tempos or genres define him he swiftly and efficiently moves between different sounds whilst maintaining a clear vision for his music. The EP begins with “Pray For Riddim”, an effective intro to any hard bass music dj set with a ground shaking drop. For the second track Virtual Riot gets Virus Syndicate to lay bars over the very uk grime influenced intro, when the drop hits on this one you hear some incredible diverse sounds for a dubstep song. The fourth tune has to be one of my favourites on here, I don’t think it’s too often I get to talk about jump up and be excited about it. “Jump The Gun” is an explosive dancefloor banger that’s definitely going to be making the rounds in clubs sets for the next few months. The final track of this EP “The Darkest Night” is another example of Virtual Riot’s genre diversity by mixing UK Garage with elements of Deep House, definitely a track with lots of replay value for home listeners..
