Montenegro Montenegro is a small, but extremely attractive Mediterranean country. It is located in the south of Europe, on the Adriatic coast. It has about 620,000 inhabitants and an area of 13,812 km2. It borders with Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the west, Serbia to the north, and Albania to the east. Montenegro has a long history and centuries-old statehood. In the period from 1918 to 2006 it was part of the common state of Yugoslavia. Montenegro is characterized by the diversity of outstanding natural beauty in a small space. To the north, there are mountain peaks with 2,524 meters above sea level and more than 100 glacial lakes. In the region there are impressive canyons of which the most famous is canyon of Tara, with depth of 1300 m (the second in the world after Colorado). The Montenegrin coastline is 293 km long and has as many as 52 km of sandy beaches which are a real tourist attraction. The coast is dominated by the medieval Mediterranean towns with fascinating architecture (Herceg Novi, Kotor, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj). Montenegro is a popular tourist destination with a number of world-recognizable sites and resorts (hotel-town Sveti Stefan, Bay of Boka Kotorska, Porto Montenegro marina ...) Montenegro is a multinational state that is characterized by inter-ethnic and inter- confessional harmony. Montenegrin citizens are known for their hospitality, friendliness and cordiality. Budva/Becici City of Budva is touristic centre of Montenegro and the entire region. Budva has only 15,000 inhabitants, but in the summer months, in town and near areas, there are around 80,000 tourists a day. At only 25 kilometres of Riviera, there are 17 sandy beaches with a total length of approximately 11 km. With as many as 2,300 hours of sunshine annually, Budva is one of the sunniest cities in the Mediterranean. The old town of Budva dates back to ancient times. It lies on a small peninsula which is with sandbank connected to the mainland. The old town is surrounded by walls with city gates and towers. The interior of the city is a tangle of narrow streets and small squares. All participants of CDE will have the status of Infofest participants, without payment of conference fee. Beside realization of Program, Organizer provides coffee breaks during CDE Program. Citizens of European Union member countries, then the Russian Federation, the former republics of Yugoslavia, Albania, Ukraine, Switzerland and many other countries, a visa is not required. Registration, accommodation, travel Program organizer of CDE is ITU Regional Cybersecurity Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Society and Telecommunications of Montenegro. Technical organizer is INFOFEST. Registration for participation will be done through official ITU registration system online http://www.itu.int/net4/ITU-D/CDS/meetings/registration/index.asp. Agency BTA which is official operator of INFOFEST, provided for CDE participants special pricing of packaged arrangements in hotel Montenegro Beach Resort in which Event will be held, please use the accommodation request form available on the event website http://www.itu.int/en/ITU-D/Cybersecurity/Pages/Montenegro_cyberdrill_2015.aspx. Other information Official currency in Montenegro is euro. Swimming season usually last to mid of October. Montenegro is famous for delicious and versatile cuisine, including Mediterranean sea food. Medical help for the emergency care or the first aid is free of charge in Montenegro, but only in the state medical facilities. In the private facilities the visitor will have to pay for a treatment on his own costs. This country belongs among the safe countries without occurrence of exotic diseases. In any case, it is recommendable to have travel insurance before the travel according to the length and purpose of the stay. .
