Lipka hit .216 in the month of April, .163 in the month of May, but has been hitting to a .364 average over 15 games played in June. The former first round selection by the Texas Rangers has hit more doubles (4) and has driven in more runs (7) in 11 SQUIRRELS JUNE SCHEDULE games played this month than the first two months of the season combined. Lipka has had at least one base hit in nine of his last 6/1 @ REA W 7-6 (10) ten games played. 6/2 @ REA L 5-4 6/3 @ REA W 4-3 Dingin’ Doubles: 6/4 @REA L 6-5 (10) + The Flying Squirrels offense has come alive in the month of June hitting to a team batting average of .243. Menez tossed 6.0 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits with four strikeouts over 94 pitches. Menez also made two starts for Sacramento (AAA) this year and was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after tossing 7.0 scoreless innings against El Paso allowing just one hit with eight strikeouts. Long struggled in his first 6/14: Dillon Dobson activated from the RICH DL start against the Squirrels allowing five earned runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings earning the loss. Long has struggled this season 6/16: Conner Menez transferred from SJ to RICH pitching to a 1-8 record and a 5.25 ERA. The righty’s last time out was against Portland on June 17, where he tossed 4.0 innings 6/19: Ronnie Jebavy placed on the RIchmond DL allowing five earned runs on seven hits.
