Community Guide 2017-2018 3 The Northwoods Start Here Centrally located in Wisconsin, the greater Mosinee area is the Gateway to the Northwoods. Nestled along the beautiful Wisconsin River, the Mosinee area rests between Wausau, Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield. Interstate 39/Hwy 51 is the main highway, and provides instant and easy access to Mosinee and the surrounding areas, traversing the center of the state from north to south. State Highway 29 runs east and west just north of Mosinee, allowing quick access to other nearby communities. In addition, the regional Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) resides on the east side of Mosinee, offering daily flight service to Minneapolis, Detroit and Chicago. You will discover that we are a nexus of new and improved roads, bridges and beautifully landscaped areas that bring the world of commerce and industry to each community’s doorstep. The Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce is the rising voice of area businesses and community groups and we are strongly committed to their success.
