This year we will see eight teams battle out for national pride over two rounds, split between Christchurch and Manawatu respectively. We want to extend an extra welcome to the 8th team - NZDF Invictus will be participating in the WRC rounds. The Invictus Games are hosted in Sydney later this year. We hope that by the team participating in the WRC’s, gaining extra team play time in a competitive environment, that they will gain a competitive edge in October at the Invictus Games. We wish the participating teams the best of luck and know that players, officials, supporters and spectators will enjoy some great wheelchair rugby over the next few months. Thank you Southern Trust for supporting our volunteer Officials to attend and run both WRC rounds. Thank you to our sponsor, Travel Prefab, who is NZWR’s preferred travel provider. On behalf of the whole NZWR family we would like to acknowledge and thank all of the sponsors and volunteers, who allow this competition to take place.
