SACRA/PROFANA regularly performs with the San Diego Symphony, and has also embarked SOLD on major collaborations with the La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Dance Theater, and San Diego Museum of Art. In 2014, Oberoi was personally invited by Disney Theatrical Productions in New York to develop a choral contingent for a new musical with an Oscar-nominated score by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. These estimates were used to calculate a nondimensional number that represents the proportion, or percentage, of predicted larval fish in the EEZ that were potentially exposed to oil from the Deepwater Horizon incident. The proportion exposed is a function of the 'production schedule' of the population, the location and timing of that productivity, and the spatio-temporal distribution of surface oil. Introduction The Deepwater Horizon Incident remains the largest oil spill in a marine environment in United States history. Vast quantities of oil and other contaminants were discharged into the northern Gulf of Mexico from late April to mid-July in 2010.

  • Everybody Loves Raymond” Let’S Shmues--Chat
THANKSGIVING WITH THE CAST OF “EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND” LET’S SHMUES--CHAT The Yiddish word for “turkey” is “indik.” “Dankbar” is the Yiddish word for “thankful.” By MARJORIE GOTTLIEB WOLFE 46 “milyon” turkeys are eaten each Thanksgiving. Turkey consumption has increased 104% since 1970. And 88% of Americans surveyed by the National Turkey Federation eat turkey on this holiday. Marie Barone (Doris Roberts) is devoted to making sure her boys are well-fed. She gets her adult children back with food. It’s like a culinary hostage trade-off. Marie wants Debra, her daughter-in-law, to be a better cook. She calls her “cooking-challenged” and thinks that she should live directly opposite Zabar’s. Marie want the children to have better food. She says, “A mother’s love for her sons is a lot like a dog’s piercing bark: protective, loyal, and impossible to ignore. Many episodes of “Everybody Loves Raymond” dealt with Thanksgiving. Grab a #2 pencil and see if you can identify which of the following story lines is real or fabricated. Good luck. EPISODE 1. Thanksgiving has arrived. Marie is on a “diete.” She has just returned from a residential treatment facility for weight (“vog”) loss at Duke University in North Carolina. It was an expensive (“tayer”) program. The lockdown began: Low-Fat, No-Sugar (“tsuker”), No Taste foods, and 750 calories a day. (That’s the equivalent of a slice of chocolate cake.) One woman in the program sent herself “Candygrams” each week (“vokh”). Doris eats very little (“a bisl”) at the Thanksgiving table, but as she is preparing to leave Debra’s house, she asks for a little leftover turkey and apple (“epl”) chutney.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CHANCELLOR REV. BENEDETTO J.J. PARIS ANNULMENTS--CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS--PART I: Because of the many questions and concerns that have been raised concerning the annulment process, I would like to use my column to occasionally address some of these issues and hopefully clear up any misunderstandings that some may have about this very important ministry in the Church. Many of the priests have addressed me with their inquiries about the annulment process. For example, one of the questions is: Why does the process take so long? One of the reasons is that we need much information to process and annulment. For example, on the Annulment Application, it states that the tribunal needs certified or notarized civil copies of every marriage license and divorce decree as well as a baptismal certificate for the Catholic parties only. Sometimes, we receive an incomplete application, and of course, we have to send a letter to the Petitioner (the one who applies for the annulment) informing him or her that they have not sent enough information for us to begin looking at the case. If you are working with a person who is in need of or desires and annulment, please insure that these documents are a part of the application. It states on the opening page of the application that these materials must be sent all together at once and then it implores the Petitioner to not send an “incomplete case.” If it is possible, the Petitioner must also send a fee of $200. What this is used for is to offset some of the expenses that are incurred in processing the annulment.

It’s the feeling that comes from an unexpected discovery in CA Labs, the chorus of friendly faces in the new house common rooms, or instructors from two disciplines working together to develop and teach a new course. It is the spark of encouragement that illuminates a new path, or a lifelong pursuit — a spark that, fanned by tremendous support over these past few years, is growing into a blaze. • A New Resource for Middle Class Families
Airbnb: A New Resource for Middle Class Families 1 Good Neighbors On average, Airbnb hosts have lived in their hometowns for almost 20 years. For millions of immigrants, the long journey toward the American Dream went past Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. These families came to the United States searching for a better life in a land full of opportunity, where happiness and fnancial stability could be achieved through hard work. Today, the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of this hope and the freedom to pursue the American Dream, but for many families, that dream feels increasingly out of reach. Economic turmoil and stagnating incomes have meant that hard work alone no longer guarantees Americans will be able to provide comfortable lives for their families. Amidst this uncertainty, we are proud that Airbnb has become an economic lifeline for the middle class. Home sharing and Airbnb allow local residents to use what is typically one of their greatest expenses — their home — to make additional income that helps them pay the bills. 2 Policymakers are taking notice and acting to support home sharing and the middle class. Today, Jersey City — less than half a mile from the Statue of Liberty — proposed new legislation that would make the City the frst location in the tri-state area to pass common sense home sharing laws. Jersey City has a robust history as a hub for middle class families and we appreciate city leaders’ work to pass progressive rules that support working men and women. Making Ends Meet Money earned from home sharing helps nearly 60% of Airbnb hosts stay in their homes.
