The Commissioner, Bahour Commune Panchayat, Bahour, Puducherry reserves the right to change the opening time and date of the tender for administrative reason by notifying the same in the website. 2. Tender schedule can be downloaded and submitted online through the website https:/ / pudutenders.gov.in.only by those contractors, who are having valid ikey and Digital Signature certificate and the tender schedules cannot be purchased from the Office of the Commissioner, Bahour Commune Panchayat, Bahour by remitting the cash in the office of the Commissioner and no pre request for issue of tender schedules will be entertained in the office of the Commissioner. 3. Submission of EMD and cost of tender document: The cost of tender document is Rs.1000/-(Rupees one thousand only) for work costing more than 50 lakhs and Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for work costing less than 50 lakhs and Rs.150/-(Rupees one hundred and fifty only) for work costing less than 1 lakh plus GST 5% (Non-refundable). The cost of tender document and EMD (as noted in column 6 & 5 of the table above) are to be remitted in online mode. 4. On the scheduled time and date of opening, the Commissioner, Bahour Commune Panchayat, Bahour authorizes the opening of tender on the notified time. Contractor can access the particulars, after opening of tender in the website. The Department will not be liable for any delay in submission of tender. 5. A copy of the enlistment of contractor license issued by the competent authority should also be uploaded online. 6. The contractors enlisted with Puducherry PWD, Puducherry only are eligible to participate in tenders costing upto Rs. 60 lakhs.. 7. The time allowed for carrying out the work as noted in column No.8 of the table above will be including monsoon period. 8. If the last date of opening day of tender happens to be public holiday, the same will be opened on next working day. 9. The Commissioner, Bahour Commune Panchayat reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof. 10 . Apart from health service related factors, maternal characteristics like genes, socio- demographic profile, behavioural pattern, pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI), gestational weight gain, etc may contribute to birth weight and consequently to child survival.Ergo nowadays maternal and child health are provided in an integrated package. Aims & objectives: The aimsis to study the maternal characteristics of pregnant women residing in Bahourcommunepanchayat, a rural area of Pondicherry UT. Materials & method: The study is a community based longitudinal study conducted in Anganwadi centres under Bahourcommune panchayat from January 2012 to May 2012. All registered and consented pregnant women fulfilling the inclusion criteria within the designated period were included in the study. A semi-structured questionnaire was administered and followed up with periodical height, weight and blood pressure measurements. Results & discussion: The study population were mostly young adults (21-30 years), highly literate (87.7%) with few childhood marriage, well informed with 100% ante natal registration, had better access to ante natal services, bore lesser number of children (1.13) and had greater acceptance of female gender.

No. 829/2019 with respect to the matter of Lt. Col. Sarvadaman Singh Oberoi Vs Union of India & Ors. has directed all the coastal States / UTs to formulate Action Plan for Coastal Pollution Management. The execution of action plan is to be monitored by the already formed River Rejuvenation Committee (RRC) which may be called as Coastal Rejuvenation Committee (CRC). Government of Puducherry has already constituted River Rejuvenation Committee vide No.4739/PPCC/RRC/Sci-I/2018 dated 13.11.2018 as mentioned below: 1. Secretary (Environment) - Chairperson Chief Secretariat Puducherry. 2. Director - Member Local Administration Department Puducherry. 3. Director - Member Directorate of Industries and Commerce Puducherry. 4. Member Secretary - Member Puducherry Pollution Control Committee-cum- Director, Department of Science, Technology & Environment Puducherry. The same will function as Coastal Rejuvenation Committee and shall monitor the progress of the implementation of this Action Plan. 2 A meeting was held on 04.11.2020 under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Puducherry to formulate Action Plan for Coastal Pollution Management.
