This includes having a pitch side tour, before going into OIAM Free School where we work with pupils to explore different lifeskills. We have qualified staff who are supported by various agencies including departments from Bradford Council, School Nurses from Primary Care Trusts, the School Liason Officers from West Yorkshire Police and volunteers. Positive Lifestyle is able to provide varied training provision for pupils of all ages and abilities. It delivers ‘prevention education’ programmes covering subjects from the Personal, Social, Health and Economic education framework (PSHEe) whilst complementing the ongoing work of Primary Schools. We cover lifestyle topics to prevent accidents, ill health, emotional, physical and mental abuse, racist behaviour, drug abuse (legal and illegal), spreading germs, and anti social behaviour. Our teaching style and content is unique - enhancing the whole experience for participants. The delivery of workshops is via our qualified teacher and specialist, Clare Sharpe. The schedule runs on either a morning 10 -12noon, or afternoon 1 -3pm (we can change the times depending on lunch and home time). Workshops are appropriate for years 3 to 6. Most schools we work with start with year 3 and progress to year 6, as the themes reinforce messages giving pupils a chance to decide on what's right for them. This includes: a tour of the club’s iconic stadium; a visit pitch-side and, sometimes, including visiting the players changing rooms. This inspires pupils before they start a workshop which is based in our central hub facility based in One In A Million Free School. Thanks to Bradford City AFC; who are in partnership with One In A Million; the club gives every child a free match day voucher!
