Positive Lifestyle Centre In 2004, Positive Lifestyle began in 1996, known as Centre was launched as a “The Chalkboard Project” and new social enterprise non was based at Stadium profit company. We provide quality training for children and young people in a safe learning environment of mutual respect, creating opportunities for all.

All training will be relevant , valid and “tailor made” to the young peoples’ specific needs providing an enjoyable learning experience.

Positive Lifestyle celebrates the various cultural traditions of Bradford children and young people. We believe that every child is unique and valued .

It is our passion to ensure that children and young people are at the heart of all that we do. We constantly challenge ourselves to ensure that this sentiment is not just rhetoric, but that it is true all of the time. Our 4 core values are: compassion, honesty, integrity and excellence .

This includes having a pitch side tour, before going into OIAM Free School where we work with pupils to explore different lifeskills.

We have qualified staff who are supported by various agencies including departments from Bradford Council, School Nurses from Primary Care Trusts, the School Liason Officers from Police and volunteers.

Positive Lifestyle is able to provide varied training provision for pupils of all ages and abilities. It delivers ‘prevention education’ programmes covering subjects from the Personal, Social, Health and Economic education framework (PSHEe) whilst complementing the ongoing work of Primary Schools. We cover lifestyle topics to prevent accidents, ill health, emotional, physical and mental abuse, racist behaviour, drug abuse (legal and illegal), spreading germs, and anti social behaviour.

Each of these outcomes apply to all groups from Year’s 3-6, and we constantly revisit each of them throughout all our subjects.

g d n h e e i s s t The delivery of workshops is via our qualified teacher and specialist, Clare Sharpe. The schedule runs on either a morning 10 -12noon, or afternoon 1 -3pm (we can change the times depending on lunch and home time). Workshops are appropriate for years 3 to 6. Most schools we work with start with year 3 and progress to year 6, as the themes reinforce messages giving pupils a chance to decide on what's right for them. Themes include:
