However, sometimes the two combine to form a heady cocktail. The starlet bags a 100 crore film and the underdog becomes the superstar. The latter is a tricky balance—there’s the formulaic superstar and then there’s the superstar who paves his or her own way and creates cinema that goes way beyond the norm.
